20cv vs Elmax

I just got one also from Knives ship free in elmax, which is why I ordered it from them, and its perfect.
Elmax is a better steel for me and my uses, and I can also get a crazy sharp edge on it with little effort, but if it bothers You just send it in.

In that knife design I would prefer Elmax. Although it gives up a little in edge retention in abrasive materials, it is tougher and should have better edge stability, depending on the heat treat. I love how I can get a screaming sharp edge on my 566 elmax blade.

I’ll have to test out sharpening

Personally, I'd keep it. I wouldn't look at the tip end too much when it's closed. I'd look at the pivot end going toward the tip. You'll accept it if you use it and after a bit, it won't bother you at all.
If you send it in for a blade replacement, they might replace it with a sterile blade. Then the box will be all wrong. Then if you ever decide to sell it, you've got to go through the hassle of full disclosure. Unless you sell it so cheap, it won't matter.

They said that they laser all of the blades now, according to the customer service.
