25 lock rock...?

The only knife I've never been able to force any play out of has been my Spyderco Sage II, albeit with a reasonably tight pivot. The action is hydraulic rather than resistance-free. But still smooth nonetheless. Actually my Spyderco Carbon fiber Dodo also is completely free of play, but since the blade is so short I can't get good leverage anyway.

Both my Sebenza will yield a bit of side to side if I really muscle it out. I have a 25 on the way. Can't wait.

My 25 has no play at all, even with a fair amount of pressure applied in any direction.

I'm positive that I could induce lock flex if I tried hard enough, but why in the hell would I want to do that? I paid $445 for this thing, and I really see no need to subject it to stupid and unnecessary forces.

The lock up is a little better now than before I sent it off. And I ha1ve to agree with Suzuki the tang and the ceramic ball need to wear into each other for a better lockup. Which really anybody that would try to test for blade movement would not notice it at all on my 25. That being said I always do my blade test for movement on all blades with a good amount of force. Thats just me! But all in all the 25 is a great knife that is well built. And I don't doubt that it will stand the test of time for me!! And damn good looking too!
