$250 burning a hole, what to get?

Because the size is still perfect and even though the grivory suck, they don't appear to suck anywhere near as bad as these Deka scales. I watched a YouTube pinch his hands between the scales several times during normal cardboard breakdown. My grivory flex but not so far as to touch.
Better... grivory?

Get a thin and slicey Gayle Bradley 2. Or a thin and slicy AD20.5, if you want the top quality grivory.

Why not go to a gun show and find something YOU like instead of wondering if you'd like what I like?
A couple reasons I can think of. I don't like crowds. I hate being in situations that I cannot control and too many people is very out of control for me. I'm 1000% a comfort zone kind of person. I prefer to stick to me and mine mostly. Small venues I can do, bars and restaurants, but big shows and concerts I do not do and steer far clear of. I also don't have television and don't see advertisements so I wouldn't hear about one without seeking it out and, frankly, because of the aforementioned, I'm not interested in seeking one out. Ialso assume they're on weekends and i work retail so that's a no fly zone as well. Good suggestion though otherwise.

I also let YouTubers make my decisions for me. To heck with trying something out first hand.

Deka has aftermarket support for upgrades to the scales. Three, what appears to be a V-grind, on the blade is not at all slicey and I don't do anything not slicey anymore. I hate fat blades. The thinner the better. Squeeze a Deka and two me your glock flexes like that. Mine sure as hell don't.
I have a Deka SMKW scorpion wharncliffe in Magnacut so I’m not talking out my backside here. It slices just fine.

An informed opinion from first hand experience is hardly something to ignore. Besides i also dislike the look of the blade, after further inspection of pictures.

Also where exactly am I supposed to try one? I'd never even heard of Hogue before coming here.

Especially when that opinion isn’t coming from the members of this “garbage forum”, amiright?
Well I know it takes a lot of brain cells to comprehend this, but in video one can see what's being claimed for themselves. On the internet with just words one has to take everything with a particular grain of salt. So far this forum requires a shipping container full of flavoring.

I will take most of this forum's respected member's words over some YouTube moron's video, any day.

EDIT - Yeah, keep adding your little laughing emojis to all our posts, Jay. We are laughing AT you, not with you Mr. Brain Cells. You are digging a hole for yourself - fair warning.

Well there you have it. I don't really respect any of you nor should I. No reason to thus far, quite the opposite in fact. Give disrespect get it in return.

Well….. I was going to offer some advice for the new member given the fact that I was also new not too long ago and some of the older members do enjoy busting balls of newcomers, but it appears that any of my gentle kind encouragement would be wasted energy. And another one bites the dust, Queen. My last recommendation, save your money for however long it takes and buy anything CRK and you will thank me later.

First choice, a Doug Ritter Mini RSK from Knifeworks. A few different colors to choose from.

Does a Spyerco PM3 interest you?
KnifeJoy has an exclusive PM3 with neon green G10 and 20cv. I like the neon green myself. YMMV.

Slip joints?

Collectorknives.net has some LionSteels I've been looking at. $110 and up.
For example...

You could actually get a PM3 and a Lionsteel with your budget if you wanted too.

I'd heard of them years ago...their knives just held no interest for me until they stepped up and took on production of Doug Ritter's folder(s). I bought them; and have recommended them ever since. Admittedly, I suggest buying new, as Doug's proceeds fund Knife Rights; but, even secondhand, it's a great knife.
I've looked at the Deka, been interested, but could never quite pull the trigger (I've been doing this long enough that I know what I like - reference my comment about spending time with the knives you have). I need another knife knife like I need another hole in my head - I still look (sometimes); but it takes something pretty special to open my wallet.
