WW - Don't under estimate the value of good cheese. You might want to find a good cheese shop and get a few samples. You might be surprised by the difference in good vs. just regular old Kraft.

Also reminds me of a funny story... Supposely, a guy (who shall remain nameless since it involves my ex-wife) had a large chunk of Parmigiano-Reggiano in the fridge when he was staying with one of his daughters. One day she announced that she had thrown out his cheese because it had gotten hard. Oooops... Hahaha... It is kinda tragic though.

ROFL! real parmigan is retardedly expensive. That is pretty funny.

5 mile run. Check.

Thanks WW!

Enjoy!

Considering it very seriously!

Thank you sir!

It was Friday. We've been together for 18 years and married for 11. I'm surprised that Triggs has stuck with me this long.

Congrats on your 20th. Nice milestone. Did you guys do anything special?

Congrads Gus and Triggs on the anniversary, quite ironic really, Gina (my wife) and I had our 16th wedding anniversary this past Thursday. I was in Texas, so were going to celebrate this weekend..............which by the way, if its not obvious, I have returned from my trip..... whatta party that was. My liver is still pissed at me.

Todd - sorry about not getting to hang out with you. Not doing too good since the accident. But I'm glad you had a good time. How'd you like Texas?

Welcome back, Rubber Duck. Congratulations, to you two as well as Gus and Triggs!

Im mostly sorry that you where in a accident.........Texas seems to be a really cool town, didn't get a huge chance to see a lot of it. Working the truck show proved to provide looooong days then the nights where longer yet. Did some killer business for my buddy. For those of you that don't know, since I quite my job, on top of making knives, I've been working for two of my buddies that have started a custom shop that manufactures fiberglass custom semi parts. I do about 90% of there metal fab work. They have already branched out and gotten into building one off hot rod big riggs. You wouldn't believe to money thrown around this place.

Here's some pics, all of the custom parts that are fiberglass in these pics where handmade in our shop, most of the steel tbars, custom moving parts for hydraulically powered accessories and shifter knobs where more specifically made by me. Pretty cool stuff, glad I got in on this company at ground level, I think its about to explode.

HOLY COW!
Makes me wonder... If I drove a rig like that, would I prefer it to be stock on the outside and fancy inside, or what? Hm.

Thank Todd.

Congrats to you as well. Seems like late August is a pretty popular time for getting hitched.

How long have you and Gina been together?

Lol, these trucks pictured where not even the baddest of the bad, these where just ones with our stuff and ones that we've worked on. We got hooked up with a crew from Salinas California that had three trucks there. Each one was done up like west coast lowriders with mural paint jobs that covered the trucks even throughout the undercarriage. Unreal, and the clincher was, they worked those trucks everyday. Lil Ray, the owner of the riggs and the transport company. Is hiring me to handmake one of a kind shifter knobs for his trucks. That ought to be fun.

Wow Todd! Those trucks are incredible! Dare I even ask what some of those vehicles cost?

Its not rare for these guys to invest another 100k to 200k on top of the cost of the vehicle. Then there are the 1%ers of the 1%ers that take a old truck and bring it back from nothing and handbuild/make everything. The cost can go as much as you want. We saw a few trucks there in between 1 and 2 million bucks.

...........and Gina and I have been married 16 years.

Very true! We always have a chunk of Pecorino Romano in the fridge. It doesn't take much of it grated with a micro-plane to really improve just about everything you cook.

In a similar tale, back when I was on a Fleet Oiler in the Med, we anchored off Nice, France for a few days of R&R. A few of us got back to the ship around 2200 and went to get some sodas out of the wardroom refrigerator and this nasty-assed godawful smell came rolling out. We tracked it down to this bag of gooey mess that had blueish crap all over it and though it. With 3 other officers holding hatches open, I picked it up and ran with it as fast as I could and heaved it over the side. Then we worked on airing everything out.

The next morning, 2 of the guys who stayed ashore the night before, came into the wardroom and went to the fridge and then started asking about their cheese. Turns out that nasty looking and smelling cheese was allegedly "good" and had cost them like $20 a pound (1987 $$ and there was a good 2 or 3 lbs in that bag). Needless to say they weren't happy with us, but we just told them the communal fridge was NOT the place to store stinky unmarked junk.
