3 Favorite HOG folders?

CRK Lg 21 Sebbie
Strider SNG/SMF
Benchmade 943

Tradoon every day
SMF Carry for heavy work
some times my UT X 70

Use to carry a Mayo or a Tighe but not so much any more, I just carry a working knife

I'd like to try a Combat Troodon.
Thanks guys.
KA-BAR Dozier Lightweight Folder.
A. G. Russell Cowboy, Red Rucarta. :D
CRKT K.I.S.S. Believe it or not. lol!

At the moment, there are three clear HOGs in my collection that I've been using a lot lately.

1. Grayman Dua
Mike and Sue somehow made the ultimate small Tactical/EDC folding knife. I can't say anything bad about it. Rock solid, and I mean as solid as you can get, smooth as butter, fast action, incredible Ergos, great build quality. I am waiting for Grayman to release the Ti-Ti Satu. At almost 10" OAL and 10 oz, the Satu will make this list for sure.

2. TAD Dauntless MK3
Very hard to acquire, the MK3 is incredibly well built. If the XM-18 is the benchmark for quality, then both the Dua and the MK3 live up to the standard.

3. Spyderco Tuff
Who doesn't like a big slab of 3V? This knife has punched through a street sign without damaging the knife at all.

Group shot (Marcin Slysz and Jens Anso are two of my favorite custom Knifemakers, so I added the awesome Zulu and Techno by Spyderco to fill up the empty space.):

Lycosa, the Combat Troodon is a MONSTER of a knife! You really have to hold one to get the sense of just how big it is. It is heavy and I have the dagger style blade which came RAZOR sharp! The only downside is that the firing switch is a PITA to operate. Firing isn't too bad once you get used to it, but you have to have the world's strongest thumbs to retract it. But it sure is one tough OTF. My favorite of the entire Microtech line.

So many good folders to choose from. Here are probably my top three keepers if I sold the rest:

1) Chris Reeve Large Sebenza
2) Sypderco Manix 2 (S90V)
3) Buck 110 custom with BG42 steel.

I would love to try out a Grayman Dua!
I noticed a lot of Spydercos on here. While I love the Lum designs, I am much too abusive for most. I have broken every Spyderco I have owned. I would like to know what makes the choices "The Ones" for everybody.

The ZT 303 I have has to be the toughest most built-like-a-tank folding knife I have ever seen, if you are looking for a big, heavy, bulky, hard-use folder! Plus it just looks awesome:D

I've been wanting to try a Grayman DUA

Yea it looks like it has some serious heft to it! How do you like your ZT Busto? Most people complain about the ZT 300 being too big, thick, and heavy, (which it surely is:D) but those traits are exactly why I love it!! Something about holding big, durable, quality in your hand. Which is why I like Busse too:p The ZT 300 is very heavy for an EDC blade, but if you want a folder that won't let you down I sure think it is the one to get. Excellent warranty and customer service as well!

My current EDC rotation:
1 - Microtech Socomm Delta Zombie Edition
2 - CRK Umnumzaan
3 - XM-18 non-flipper
4 - Three Sisters Forge Superbeast
5 - SMF CC in 3v
6 - Fallkniven PXL Maroon Micarta

Now all I need for my rotation is a Busse Folder  :D

I'm a Big GUY and it fits my hand nicely and yeah its big but its like the BUSSE's Big and hard working....there is a knife for everyhand and pocket as there is a knife for every possible cutting situation its a question of what might I need to cut today and I would rather be over prepared....I find myself also carrying my BM 943 just the complete opposite of the ZT beasty....I guess that I don't mind the weight compared to the cutting ability of a large blade.

I highly recommend getting one. I love my ZT 0300. It's a great all around knife and is built strong. I keep it on my bedside table in case of a break in situation where I don't have time to grab my baton and fixed blade of choice (right now it's a Busse Team Gemini.)

With all of that said, the Dua is in a different league as far as build construction. Keep in mind that it's a small knife (3.25" blade with ~4.25" handle.) The SATU is more 0300 size with a 4" blade and just under a 6" handle. I don't know if I'd EDC the SATU to the office. Both would be fantastic additions to your collection / rotation.

My thoughts exactly that the DUA would be a bit smaller than the ZT300 looks to be built like a tank but purposeful heavy duty blade...Thanx for the Info FLUX....

I agree with you there Busto!!! I am just a little guy at only 6 foot 8 with a ten inch hand:D Big guys think alike! Haha Wouldn't mind having another ZT 303 actually.....
