Hello,

I don't have 10 posts, so I'm out of your Give Away, but I still wanted to show a picture of my dog Jack.

He's < 10lbs and got attacked by a rottweiler a year ago. He was split open pretty good and really shouldn't have made it. He wore the "Cone of Shame" for weeks and weeks. At one point early on, he would not sit or lay down because it tugged on his stitches. After about 30 hours he began tipping right over.
We now call him "Jack the Snack

Tulip Poplar bud, after ice storm. Electricity was knocked out for a week, precipitating my love affair with generators. I now have 3. Thanks for the giveaway.

My daughter Jenna "chasing" the cows at my grandparent's place. She had a blast and thought she was really giving them hell. The second is me with my wife, Angela and daughter outside after Thanksgiving lunch this past year. Thanks for the chance!

Three more and you're in WickedSharp. Jack and you have 5 days to make three posts. Get on it.

This is my little dog, Willie. Willie is now 5 years old. The cat shown in the two pictures is Rosita, Willie's best friend. Last year, Willie had "Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration", and went from a perfectly sighted dog, to totally blind in a 4 hour period. He is coming along OK after 6 months of blindness, but it is a sad thing to watch sometimes, but as long as I have breath in my body, this little fellow will have nothing to worry about.

This is my dog, Daisy. Here she is a couple of years ago at the Christmas tree farm. We didn't cut down the tree she wanted though, I'm sure some wild critter had left some unique "scent" there for her to enjoy. We thought we might be better off without it. ;)

Thanks for all of the great pictures. Some pretty fine looking pooches and kitties in there so far. At the midway point of the giveaway, plenty of time to enter. Here's my wildlife picture, a Mississippi Kite.

These Falcon like raptors are very common to the Southern Plains in the summer months. A fairly aggressive bird found in town around parks and golf courses, and extremely agile in flight. My small town always has 8 or 10. They nest in the tops of tall trees. They are fun to watch on a breezy day, catching thermal currents.

Here is my companion when I am on BladeForums, Baby, a 14 month old guinea pig (home grown too). Always watching the screen:

She prefers websites with pictures of prairie hay and root vegetables. In this picture she is looking at an old Ulster peanut, and whispering to me to go a little higher with my bid.

Good luck on winning the Old Timer.

Oh yea, I'm in on this one. I need me an old timer from the great USA.

I took this picture about four years ago in San Antonio near the Alamo. As soon as I saw it, I couldn't believe all the colors. The picture captured them very well. I use it as my desktop background a couple of times a year. Its one of my favs.

My beautiful little Persian, her name is QT. She likes to curl up next to me when I am posting in BF. In this shot, she decided the best place to curl up would be in the laundry basket full of nice, warm, clean clothes. Well, for those of you who have had a long hair cat, you understand. For those who haven't, there was hair on most of those beautiful clean clothes. They had to be rewashed. Still love her though. Gotta love a cat that loves BladeForums!

It breaks my heart thinking of this beautiful dog losing his sight. The last line in your post is perfect.
Thank you for bringing Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration to my attention. I had never heard of it before.

Here's my little bundle of energy, Briza. She's a three and a half year old lynx point Siamese. This cat has more personality than most people, and does something new and unexpected every day.

Thanks for the chance and congrats from us all on 3k.
Your picture of a Prince Albert can brought back memories- my Dad's Dad was a carpenter and he kept all of his fastners and such in PA cans. He had shelves lined with them, a lifetime of saving. He knew what was in each and every can, from what size nail or screw and exactly where to find it. After he died it fell to my Dad to reorganize. Took about a month of sorting, labeling and moving. I sure miss standing in the shop while my Grandad puffed his pipe and pointed at the proper can for a nail to fix the back fence.
Best regards

Hi thawk -

Very nice giveaway!

Here is a picture of a 3lb bass taken in Goodfield Illinois at a private 2 acre pond that I fish occasionally.

A good friend of mine and I go there a couple of times each May, using ultralight gear, and normally we catch between 20-40 bass in a few hours.

We just release them back unless the owner wants us to keep a few for him to cook up.

** this is a large image, so I just linked it **

I live in a lake community, and during the season, the sportsman's club holds monthly bass tournaments. Here is a couple of pictures of my good friend Smitty and I at one such tournament where we took 2nd place and big bass. Smitty is the fellow with the big bass and the beard.

Congrats on the 3,000 Hal....
I still can't find the dog pics, because the wife moved everything on the 'puter, so I will post these... Lots of great pics from everyone
The Ulsters a great one...... I will pass on the chance for a great knife though , as I was fortunate enough to win a knife a few months ago.

This is Mt. Hood. It doesn't look as majestic without the snow

This little guy was in our back yard. We get deer coming by just about every day. The other day we had 7 of them.

I'm in. Down south they call these Flounder, Here in New York we call them FLUKE. This one was 9 Lbs. on the button. Caught on my friends boat 4 Miles south of Jones Beach in 55 feet of water with a 1 1/2oz home made Bucktail. After filleting the fish the stomach contents revealed a 10" fluke inside the belly.
