#35 Beer and Sausage Bar Tool Knife

I'm definitely in for this and will try my hardest at landing one. Just not sure about the comb. Maybe it will change. Definitely something I would carry and use. They are pretty far already in production....couple weeks should be done! Can't wait to see the cover options.

I've been thinking about this a bit. I find the knife to be a delightful novelty - one that I am plenty eager to get.

That said, there are some things that I would have certainly done differently to make this more practical - for my needs anyway.
  1. I'd ditch the spear main and replace it with a Sheepfoot (or better yet, a Lambsfoot). In the bar, this particular blade shape is far more useful to me - opening packages, opening wine, etc.
  2. The fork/caplifter combo is interesting - my immediate thoughts were that it looked like a sausage pricker rather than a usable fork. If a fork was the intent, I'd remove the center tine.
  3. The comb is certainly gimmicky - it isn't necessary on a knife like this and from a user perspective, I'd rather see it replaced with another blade or, better yet, a corkscrew.
  4. This is the type of knife that I'd want to use a lot while entertaining or at a party/shindig. I don't want to be always digging in my pocket so a bail would be most desirable - one that I could attach a chain or cord to and carry like my #15 B&C.
An interesting knife that is generating some titillating conversation. Regardless, I am most pleased.

I thought it was a hoax. I see now that it is a gimmicky novelty....a very good quality well made gimmicky novelty but nevertheless.
Perfect for those who like beard hairs and dandruff on their sausages.Or does one simply floss with a piece of clogged up hair from the comb.
But wait! Will there be a follow up GEC beard comb cleaning tool?
Hipsters only.
I don’t like it. It manages to be silly , vulgar and useless. Quite a feat. Super disappointed in GEC.
Not sure if vulgar is the right word...ill conceived maybe...unhygenic?

I dunno Meako. I just find the whole idea of combing a beard with the same knife you eat with very distasteful. There is all sorts of crap that would get all gunked up in the bladewell. Maybe other folks have no issue with it but for me it is just ewww.

I'm eagerly awaiting the 2020 covid mask storing facility blade ...I wish GEC would contact me if they want preposterous suggestions for new novelty blades...how bout my Earwax Scoop ?...or the incredible Geezer Prodder?
Zit Pick?
Snake Hook?
Seriously I believe these beardo things will do well and be v popular...I truly hope so.
Good on them for stretching the fabric and pushing the boundaries....exciting times.

I kinda dig the fork/cap lifter. Really useful for those church picnics/Oktoberfest/etc when you really need a metal fork and knife. Weird but hey, plausibly useful. I’d try one.

I don’t dig the comb. What the heck was somebody smoking. Hope that part is a joke.

I think this is a test to verify the fact that GEC could take a paper bag, fill it with 5 lbs of you know what, put their name on it, and it would sell out in 2 min. They are so good at what they do and the slip joint market is like baseball cards in the early 90's. Its fun to be aboard this train.....

I love it!

I have a pretty big beard and use a wood comb every morning on it. I dont carry the comb with me because I dont want the fragile tines to break in my pocket. A few times I could have used it to straighten things up so, having a knife with a beard comb for an emergency is pretty sweet imo
