#35 Beer and Sausage Bar Tool Knife

Already called my dealer to report “I’m in” on the Beer & Sausage knife. If there are more covers I’ll likely buy more than one. The Beer Scout Knife is what caught my attention and made me a traditional knife lover several years ago. This knife brings up those same whimsical machinations that caught my eye initially. For those of you who know Leavenworth, WA - this will be perfect for the Autumn Leaf Festival and Octoberfest!

Mark my words...this will be an iconic GEC knife that will generate much wailing and gnashing of teeth for those who came late to the party. Speaking as one who came late to the Beer Scout party. ;)

Heck I'll never us the darned thing, but I sure want one.
It never made sense to me to have a fork and a knife that don't separate.
When I cut my meat with my knife, I'd already have a fork in the other hand.
And I keep my beard tightly trimmed with no need to comb stuff out of it.
But like I said, I must have one of these for collector and conversation value.

I called GEC a quirky company in the past and some fan bois got mad...this offering cements my opinion of GEC's quirkieness...
I’m ok with quirky. Knives provide a function along with being fun to collect. Ive gathered a few beyond what I functionally need, so most are for enjoyment. This is not the 35 I envisioned, but like a beer scout the beer and sausage bar tool will put a lot of smiles on faces.

I’ve never owned a hobo knife, but the fork doesn’t strike me as that useable at the dinner table. Better for grabbing pickles from the jar maybe? Or getting the onions and capers for your hackepeter. :)

Agreed, quirky can be interesting, and fun. And GEC usually pulls it off in a good way. This offering is not my cup of tea, but I can imagine the appeal for some to be drawn to it.

I kinda dig the fork/cap lifter. Really useful for those church picnics/Oktoberfest/etc when you really need a metal fork and knife. Weird but hey, plausibly useful. I’d try one.

I don’t dig the comb. What the heck was somebody smoking. Hope that part is a joke.

I wonder if the wording they put on there is a joke, and it's actually a real bar tool to clear the foam off a head of beer. Its not really for a beard.

How many will FOMO buy this? A ton. I will say though, it’s weird and I love it. Also, I have been growing a quarantine beard for 4 months now. So it will fit perfectly with that and my fall Oktoberfest.

Maybe the comb could work as a drink stirring utensil? It wouldn’t work for James Bond, but some like their martinis stirred, right?

I’m not tempted by this one at all, but it is a fun pattern, and though I think it ill conceived, who can question Bill’s track record with selling knives? A little something odd keeps the banter up, if nothing else.
