I was a little disappointed, but I do like my 4.7 in CFV. I had one in 20cv that I traded for a numbered 7/7 and have been missing it since. Whenever Survive ships their F2 4.7's from December I'll have one in 3v. I like the 4.7 as well, but will need to decide if I really "need" three..lol I'll let you know if I decide to sell or trade it. Only cost me $215 shipped which isn't bad for a slightly used factory first 4.7. I'd be pissed if I paid a significant mark up, but wasn't the case. Just can't wait till I get the shipping notice from Survive like everyone else :)

I'm hoping the 4.1's start shipping so the decision to buy one will be easier. I know you'll use yours and give truthful results.
That 4.7 was definitely a great price no matter what.
 
I'll be curious to see if the 4.7 or 4.1 lands as top dog in the go-to woods/utility knife when it all shakes out. I'm leaning towards the 4.7 but that might have something to do with me having three to drool over.

Grog, that is a big question in my mind as well.
If the 4.1 handle fits my hand as perfectly as the 4.7 but with a less chunky blade I will be very pleased.

While searching surviveknives tags on instagram, i came across this picture of a new spec 4.1
It sure looks like the handle resembles the 4.7's in this photo. Fingers crossed, because i prefer the slimmer blade profile also.

Dam that looks so nice ! I got in touch w survive yesterday and they said because I changed my order from 20cv to 3v it got pushed to the back of the line , oh well it should be here soon ... I hope

I was tossing up for 4.7 or 4.1 next, but that photo helped me make up my mind.
4.1 all the way!
 
Just got a shipping notification for a factory 2nd 4.1 in 3V.

Of course this is the only knife I have on order that is not for me. ;) My girlfriend decided that she wanted a Survive! knife for camping, too. Her birthday is coming up soon; good timing.
 
i've had almost a year with my 4.7, these 4.1s need to ship asap. that pic has me pretty confident that the 4.1 will be riding hip if it ever gets here.
 
I am glad that I jumped on a 4.1 2nd, the 6 still has a ways to go and the 4.1 looks amazing. I am especially happy that the blade length is closer to 5" then 4". The reason why I didn't originally order one was I thought it would be the same length as my Mora, which I always wanted to be a tad longer. (I know apple to oranges)
 
Way to go, guys. For those getting shipping notices, send some positive energy for those of us still waiting!
