#44 Northwoods barlow.

crap i really need to start saving for this one i think. an ivory or mammoth will have to be had.

Well, it'll be a pocketful but it is interesting enough to get my interest. Ebony would be nice.

Reminds me of a big 73 with a nice drop point blade.

I think you've nailed it--the 73 drop point with a swedge is one of GEC's finest achievements and is hard to find outside of that specific pattern, so this will be an excellent larger version.
I anticipate pursuing one of these in understated yet timeless ebony :)

If the Mammoth looks as good as it did on the Fremont, they are going to look great. I got an early choice on that one and am more than satisfied with it. Worth every penny, IMHO. :)

Definitely digging the idea. Doesn't say "Barlow" to me, but I'm liking it. Is the blade going to be more traditional or have the Northwoods Treatment? I'm not sure what you call it, but it looks saber ground and rough finished.

I don't see barlow at all when I look at it.

I do see "MINE" written all over it though ;) . If it keeps the rustic look of the recent Northwoods knives, I am all in!

Derrick - I saw from the photographs/drawings that you are inscribing at least one of the bolsters with your logo. Hopefully, both bolsters will be engraved with your logo.

I'll make sure of that. It hadn't even occurred to me that it might only be on one. :)

This one will probably be my first Northwoods. Really interested in the Mammoth!

Man these Northwoods knives are something else. They keep coming out with new knives that are just ringing my bell. First the Fremont and now the Barlow.

I have to say that I kind of drifted away from the traditional side of the knife world for a little while. Then I started looking at the Northwoods line up and they have got me back into the traditional world.

I am going to have to beg the wife for this one. I am not above begging........

Yeah the last one was nice looking, but the blade profile turned me off (appears really thick from mid blade to spine). Steven

I like where this one is going. Can't wait to see the finished product!

It's gonna be a "Big Barlow"! Not an inconsequential size - I definitely need one!!
