500th Post Giveaway

I have an OD-1 in the works for the passaround already, but I do like fine brews!

Dogfish Head, Bell's, Breckenridge, Stone, Avery...

Life is too short for cheap knives or crappy beer.

I concur JC. Great beer and sharp knives, a perfect combo. :D

im going to sit this one out considering amy is somehow frustrated that i just one 5 knives :-/ go figure.

but as far as beer goes :) i like dogfish head brewery in gaithersburg MD. they have some of the highest % alcohol by volume beer that can still be called beer :) something like 24%.

Slade, that's very kind of you. My head hurts thinking about 24% beer, thanks for the brewery name, though.

I dont follow cycling, but good on you PG for the contest. BTW congrats on hitting 500 hopefully Im around long enough to have my own giveaway some time.

I'm a New Belgium brewery fan (Fort Collins, CO). Fat Tire is good but a bit over-rated, but I think that Abbey may be among my favorite beers on the planet (that I didn't make myself).

Ah, Escondido to RB, that takes me back to the good ol' days. I think that Oceanside to Pacific Beach along PCH would be a better route, but I've always been a bit biased against the inland parts of San Diego county.

I'm a New Belgium fan myself; just had some New Belgium La Folie Wood-Aged Ale recently...very nice.

nmb, sorry to say that you haven't gotten to the 25 post Kershaw sub-forum requirement.

But, I do admire your taste in beers. New Belgium's seasonal brews are quite nice.

Some of those inland routes in SD county were awesome. There was one coming in to Poway from the south where you could blow past cars going down hill on the curves on a bike.

I like their seasonals, but I haven't seen the "Lips of Faith" brews yet. I'll have to start looking.

Oscar Sevilla... 0.25 seconds [edited to add... i guess 0.25 seconds is 0.004 in the other format]

I'll go with Boston Beerworks since that's really the only brewery I've ever had beer from.

Anyway, thanks for the contest!

Great contest PG ,but seeing how I don't follow cycling and am underage to drink, I don't think I will enter this contest.

Levi Leipheimer by 0.150

Wish I could make an educated guess....but....I know nothing of cycling.

Best brewery in my area? New Glarus. Only sold in Wisconsin...for now. They are adding on to their brewery in a huge way.

Seems that everything that they try is an excellent example of the craft. They are world renowned for their fruit beers, if you are into that sort of thing. I especially like their wheat beers, vienna styles, and IPAs, but anything that they do is great.

Thanks for the contest!!!

I'm not a cycling guy so I'll go with Jens Voigt by 30 seconds. (Somebody guessed this but is dq'd, sorry man.)
The firehouse brewery in puyallup Washington makes a good lager at Christmas time.
Good luck to all.
EDIT: Changed rider as of 5:49 on saturday night.

if you are interested PG, they do have something over at dogfish (which is actually brewed in rehoboth, DE, but there is a dogfish pub in gaithersburg, md) called raison d'extra which is only 18% :)

Levi Leipheimer by four seconds (00.00:04). I think this would be 0.067 minutes.

If you're ever in South Cackalacky go to the Hunter Gatherer Brewery. Its got good food and is right behind the State House so it's easy to find.
