501 Goodfella

Can't say I'm a fan of the laser etch vs the old stamp, but if that's the worst thing Buck does I'll be ok. I've got a $475 Hinderer that has the branding laser etched as well and I don't hear anyone complain about that too much.
 
Don't like the mark, don't buy the knife. They do different things on purpose to drive collector sales. If you buy into it your cash flows out like water. We all do it :)

Well, not quite all of us.

I temper my urges and buy carefully and rarely. MY cash flows like thick mud.

But I'm old and I well understand the propensities of youth.
 
I tried to order one yesterday after getting the email but they showed out of stock. I was able to get one ordered just now though. Looks like a great version of the 501.
 
I’m glad you all are getting deals. It’s a great knife. But these blow outs are going to hurt the in the end. It’s burning the guys who bought early. Now unless it’s something I really need I’m going to wait for the blow out sales.

yeah....some move fast and some dont. all timing cant always guess right on which though.....

I just buy what I like price or not....dont worry about discounting possiblity...if it happens might grab a second one.....:)

So Best Buy should issue refunds to the people who bought a TV when it came out once they have stock left after the new model is released and the old model gets marked down or so your logic would say.

Not my logic.

It's what they do when things go on sale........most major retailers do it and any good seller should do it.

It's also just practical procedure since people would just return the first item, get a refund and buy it again at the sale price.
 
They don't do it outside of a reasonable window yes most have a 2 week tops price guarantee that if the price drops within 2 weeks of original purchase you can get the new price. That doesn't apply to those who bought something a month or more prior to the sell and 99% of retailers won't honor the new price for an old purchase. Your right about the return and purchase but again that falls within a window as you usually have only 14 days to return an item, also known as 2 weeks, and when they refund you honoring that price they usually process it as a return and repurchase effectively.

Wouldn't it be lovely if us sellers had a crystal ball before we made an ordering mistake? Would give an arm for that crystal ball.....

You are definitely more than welcomed to wait for that. Sometimes you'll pull the winning number! Sometimes you'll miss out on the knife forever. Hard to know what the consuming masses will devour or nibble on. I for dang sure wish I had better insight to that dilemma!!!
