Mick57 said:Well, $275 isn't exactly chump change for most people here. It's a very nice knife & may be well worth it, but no denying it's alot of money. Nothing nutz about it.

I do think your post is based on bad information or a lack of understanding of what Bill Buxton is offering for sale here.
First of all these knives are stunning in execution of design. Perfect attention to detail with no short cuts in final finish.
The choice of blade steel alone makes these knives a value. Bill's 52100 blades are greatly respected on this forum and it takes a real master to get the results he does. I am no maker but my understanding is this steel while yielding some of the finest blades possible, is very demanding to work with.
I convinced Bill's name for the knife "EDC" is a mistake, for while it does accurately describe the designs utility it makes light of its quality. I have 4. Three purchased from Bill and one purchased second hand here on the forum. I am keeping and using one and three of my dearest Friends are getting gifts this year that will leave them breathless.
In my opinion these knives are a absolute steal at $275. I have no possible way to justify another, yet I just my talk myself into it.
So yes..... it is Nutz that this knife is still here.[/QUOTE
Well, I'm not sure why I should be blasted, as you put it, for stating my opinion that $275 is alot of money for most people here. I was NOT giving an opinion as to whether the knife was overpriced or not. As I said, the knife may be well worth it, (& yes, maybe alot more) but the fact of the matter remains $275 is ALOT of $ for most people here. It has NOTHING to do with B. Buxton the knifemaker or his integrity as a man. I stated a simple fact. You're reading into something I never said, nor intended. In no way, shape or form, we're my thoughts being negative towards Bill Buxton. That opinion applies to anyone here selling knives in the $300 range.
J. Neilson said:Bill's knives are definitely top notch and a bargin, in my opinion. He's one of the first people I got to with 52100 questions as well as others. Great guy and very generous...in his skills and attitude.
J. Neilson said:Whoa, whoa, whoa, Mick57. Did I bad mouth you? I just put in my two cents like everyone and anyone else should be allowed to. Positive and negative. I said nothing about you, your thoughts or your comments, only my opinion.
Please jump off me now.
Let's get back to Bill's knife, shall we.
