The end of the road... literally.

Put me in, thank you.

My tip is to carry a small Nasal spray bottle of alcohol in your kit. You can clean wounds with it and it works great as a emergency fire starter.

If you carry a Zippo, add a Small Tabasco sauce bottle to your kit with a little lighter fluid in it.

Put a sprig of sage in your boots and you will be rewarded with a gorgeous aroma with every step!

(All the ideas I know were already taken).

Edit: Just thought of one. When you bunk down for the night, put your socks over the mouth of your boots. This will stop creepy-crawlies getting in. (No matter how often I shake them, I'm always still a little worried that something might be in there.

Well what do you know, there is a Santa Claus! The winner of my 600 post giveaway is Doc-Canada, who most generously asked that the Izula be sent to RescueRiley if his name was pulled out of the hat (well, paper bag actually).

Thanks for all the great pics and tips. Rescue, I'll shoot you a PM to get your shipping info. I think these are going to ship next week, but we may need to have a little patience.

Congrats to Rescue, and a big thank you to Doc-Canada for your generosity.

Congrats to both of you!!!
I can't think of two more deserving people.

Thanks BF. I thought it might get lost in the excitement of the contest. I was going to post a picture of the water boiling in the Guyot, but somehow I didn't take it. It was last weekend, it was pretty cold and I was fooling around with some traps with a couple of buddies, so somehow the idea got lost in the mix.

The original idea (not including the Guyot) came from a guy on the Instructables web site. When I saw it, I thought it would be work well for the Guyot with a taller can for a stove. However, if you're just heating a cup, I felt the increased height might affect the efficiency, that's when I decided to make adjusting holes for different applications. It seems to work quite well.

I was going to modify my Guyot like FLIX did, but I didn't want to screw up doing the holes. Besides I find if you're wearing gloves, handling the hot Guyot is no problem.

And thanks to all for the congratulations.

Hey Riley, good on you. And the gesture really is Mapper's and a very generous one it is. I would have posted the pictures anyway. :D
