I received mine yesterday also and it has a very similar appearance. I love the look.
 
I actually really like it Barrett. So much more character to the medium makes for a more interesting knife. :cool::thumbup:
 
Barrett, I agree with Bob. Your micarta looks great. Just think about how well it will age as the white darkens out.
