#77 Barlow 2016 - What configuration would you like?

I'll have to message Mike to see if any 77 spear points were made with copper bone. I have one with micarta scales, natural micarta.

They didn't make any this run, only did single clip point blades, but GEC has already put the copperhead covers on a couple knives for folks who needed repair work. Someone earlier in this thread and the other #77 thread posted pictures.

Was your Boker a spearpoint?

Some photos of my copperhead 77 with a comparison between my single clip antique amber sawcut TC barlow alongside the 77. Beautiful build quality and dye on this run. Looks like the worms from the Bladeforums knife even took a nibble out of my Copperhead!:D Left some lovely bark texture.

(Sorry about the blue reflection on the scales, apparently they picked up a lot of color from the sky.)

This clip point blade looks like it could be a clipped version of the last run of CK 85 ez open spear's with the long pull. Can anyone take a comparison photo?

They are similar, but I don't think that's the case. The blade on the #77 is noticeably longer than the #85, and there's a little more straight edge before it starts to curve towards the tip.

Now I just need a sawcut #15 Barlow. :D

yep clear as day! thanks

I can't begin to describe how pleased I am with the new green Sawcut. Beautiful craftsmanship and flawless execution. I am struggling with describing the shade of green on it..... hmmmm.... :D

Excellent mechanically - blade grind, centering, smoothness of operation all top notch. Looks, F&F and feel in hand are tops as well. I'll take another one (wish it were that easy!)

Beautiful shot, Scott! The yellow/green accents on that apple complement the lights of covers just under the bolster. Good colors and reflection, nice shadows.

Extremely pleased. I'm not really buying traditionals much any more and preordered this on impulse. So glad I did. Wish I could pick up another, in fact. It's going to be a great user. Love the size and the grind.

I received my Green Sawcut Bone (Spring Green according to the tube sticker) on Friday and...Wow! I am impressed and it's hard not to gush about this knife. The covers, that great match-striker pull and wicked clip blade. The pull is a perfect 7 to me and the pinchability (is that a word? If not, it should be) is just right. Blade is centered and walk /talk is spot-on.
The fit and finish on this knife is great. GEC did themselves proud and CK set the bar high for future SFOs.
I can't believe I just ordered the green and would love to pick up a blood red jigged one of these days from somewhere.
This is my first 77 and it is thinner than I expected, but the weight and feel in my hand is very nice.
This has quickly become my favorite knife and I can't see it leaving my pocket anytime soon.
Thanks again, Mike! Well done! 👍👍👍

Put a 20 degree per side edge on it yesterday and I noticed the mark side on mine has a shallower primary grind than the pile side. So my 20 degree bevel is pretty wide on the mark side and very thin on the pile side. Not major but noticeable. Still slices like nothing else i have in the traditional drawer. It's pretty magical. I'll try to capture some photos in the daylight tomorrow, if the clouds ever decide to go away.

They seem to do that to a person !!!

I agree completely and it had not occurred to me until I saw your photos. There is a lot of blade packed into these new 77 clips.

Is it too soon to start petitioning for other blade options with green sawcut?!? :D

I'm with jrawk. I must say the green bone is the best in my opinion to date. Match strike just puts it over the edge.
