#78 American Jack

Just took my second single blade Cocobolo out of the tube that arrived and it’s another great example . I’m really tempted to buy a golden brown jigged bone now .

Received mine a couple of days ago but it has been too cold to get some good pictures taken . This is a fine knife and I like it a lot . It is going to get a fair amount of pocket time but it can only get one pocket and the other pocket will have to be something else like what happened today . I fully expect the color of the covers on this 78 are going to wear in very nicely .

The size of these double blade 78's makes it feel like a real working knife , which is for me a positive thing .

I’m really liking that golden brown jigged bone

I am definitely going to snag one of the Red Micartas and I also have an Ebony Single blade on reserve for when they become available.

The only one I am really bummed about missing is the Natural Linen Micarta (missed out on the reserve). I picked up two of the Desert Ironwoods with the intent to use one of them for trade bait. Hoping I can find someone who wants to swap their Natural Micarta for it eventually.

Beautiful variation and contrast on all these coco covers.

I’m really enjoying the spear blade too. The Moose made me go hmm, and now this one is making me go uh huhmmm. Thought I was a clip or wharnie guy. I think I just like knives! Lol

My smooth white bone also came with two faint scratches on the blade and a small crack next to a pin. I'm not worried about the integrity of the knife, and plan on this being a user, but it does dull my enthusiasm for an otherwise great knife. I have two more coming, an Appaloosa and a Stag, so we'll see if those have any of the same issues.
Sorry to hear that but I think your other 2 should be good to go . I have 3 one being a smooth white bone and 2 Cocobolos all are very nice . So nice As I mentioned in a earlier post I’m fighting the temptation to get a peach seed and I’m loosing lol.

I shouldn’t ask...but are the peach seeds out yet?

Mb, I think you better phone that SFO dealer asap. They might have already shipped. I don’t know anything for sure, but I would not take the chance if you really want one.

I am really surprised how much I like it. Up to now 15s have been my favorite but I like the little extra size.

Yes the 15's popularity is odd given it is a boy's knife size - i like a decent working knife size so much more. I am hoping this pattern will become a favourite.

Yeah, all these great examples being posted are encouraging. This is a really tempting run, with so many covers i'm interested in.

All these photos make me want a single blade ebony version in the worst way! I hate waiting.:(

While all the covers work great with this knife, I think I like the white bone best. A big spear blade in a capably sized frame yet dressy and elegant with that smooth white bone.

I think this whole run is a huge success and choosing is hard for those of us that cannot buy several. The single blade in golden brown jigged bone is calling me.

Love the shield on that one but the acrylic is not for me. I don’t care much for blade etches either.
