891 ground combat

So I guess maybe it's just my expectations. If I tighten the top screws all the way the sheath kind of grabs the knife and it takes a bit of a pull to get it out but not what I am used to a how a kydex sheath usually works. Generally when inserting a knife into a kydex sheath the knife snaps into place as a part of the handle pushes past a divot in the sheath. On the GCK's I have the knife just kind of goes under the divot and the pressure the divot puts on the handle kind of holds it there. It does not snap past the sheath divot. If the pocket past the divot was deeper maybe it would snap in. Like I said. Maybe it's just my expectations.

Looks like once mine goes over the divot it snaps in place. If you wanted to try I have done this on other similar sheaths you can get a heat gun it don’t take much heat and tighten up your sheath but be careful you can melt it if you get it to hot

I like the looks of this. I'll have to wait for Makael to strip one and get bored of it so I can get it for a slight discount :p

Well my 2 the knives definitely don't snap into the sheaths and I am getting them in all the way. It hardly takes any effort at all
to pull the knives out. I will have to call Buck tomorrow and see what they say.

Is the sheath not adjustable for tension? It looks like the top two screws have a rubber washer that can be used to add/remove tension of the sheath. My buck spec ops boot knife has a similar thing and I found out when I was changing its fitment that tightening it like a lugnut was stupid, unless you never wanted the knife to come out of the sheath.

Man that would suck. Losing your camouflage handled knife on the battlefield.....
"wait wait wait, I lost my knife"

Wait, I'm colorblind so I guess just losing any knife on the.....

I stay away from the Capitol nowadays, so I guess I'm safe.

So the problem with the knife not locking in the sheath ended up just a matter of adjustment and the knives getting worked in a bit. The knives actually snap in best with the adjustment screws taken out but
with the screws in just one turn you really have to push hard on the knives to get them to go in all the way and lock in. Than it really takes a good amount of force to get them to come back out.
So I will call this one pilot error on my part. I just wasn't pushing in hard enough. Thanks guys for all your help.
