9 mm is for sissies 45 is for real men

Who is .5 for then? Someone is going to post that after all the recent hub bub.

I'd like to know if there's a correlation between calibre and the Busse you choose. Are all guys who shoot .22 carrying AD's and all guys shooting 45 and bigger carrying BM's?

I am with Eljugador, my pistol is there to give me time to get to my rifle. But I am a wuss, my current bug-out rifle is ALSO in 9mm.

I am fail. So sue me.

Funny, I wondered exactly the same thing. Though my logic worked the other way around. My thinking that the guys who carry 9mm because it is all they think they can handle and they would compensate by carrying a huge knife whereas the manly men who can carry a .45 have nothing to prove and don't need a big knife.

Truth be told, I sometimes go with a 9 (pocket pistol), I sometimes go with a .357 SIG, I sometimes go with a .38, I sometimes go with a .357 mag. and I sometimes go with a .45. Depends on mood. I do have a rather awesome 9mm Sig that I had refinished in a pinkish purple and black swirl. It is the ultimate pimp gun and something a lot of people just aren't able to get their head around.

I have seen firsthand people die immediately from one shot of a .22, and seen people shrug off a shot with a .45.

Caliber doesn't impress me so much as where you hit someone with it, who gets hit by it, and all sorts of insane other factors.

I've had three 9mm handguns (S&W) and have eventually sold them all. I bought one .45 auto (Colt) about 25 years ago and it is still by my side. I do carry a NAA .380 occasionally but I just consider it a 6 shot derringer.

As usual in these "which one?" threads, the answer is both! (and don't forget a .357 to make a set)

Well, capacity or stopping power?

In other words, do you need 1 shot or 20?

Are you a good shot?

It might just be me, but I like 45's :D

I think Kenny Powers summed it up best when he said "I'm a bulletproof tiger"!!! Showers are for wimps too, I use steel wool and gasoline!!

hmm... I have a idea!

Let's shoot our Busse's with 9's and 45's!!!

i kid.. LOL...

After getting spoiled by pocket (pistol) carry, thats all I do these days. A 9mm Kahr PM9 seems to be about the most potent pocket pistol that is easy for me to carry. So thats how I ride.

But I do love sending a big 230 grain chunk of lead downrange too.

You sure do base a lot of your manliness on the gun or knife you carry.

I can't quite understand your logic, though. How does a large knife compensate for anything related to a handgun? Or how does having a larger caliber mean you don't have the need for a large knife?

I can see the idea that people who pair "biggest" with "best" would carry both the larger caliber and the larger knife, but what you said just doesn't make sense to me. Except to take a potshot at 9mm users, maybe?

My .357mag laughs at your **language** .45acp. ;)
