9 mm is for sissies 45 is for real men

Gotta love testosterone! You go guy, kill all those targets!

Just to clarify, when I say my 'league' I'm simply referring to someone of my level, which I may add isn't very good.. Yeah I shoot a little have some steel targets I shoot at my house, I'm not very good to say the least.. But I'll bet ya I can outshoot anyone at my 'skill level' if they're using a .45 of comparable barrel size to my gun.. sorta apples to apples thing with the exception of caliber..

the larger the caliber/shorter the gun the more I miss.. so I assume its the same with everyone in my league, with a 9mm though I have over 1200 rounds with the same gun, pair it up to a .45 and bring it on...

Love this thread.

I carry h&k p7's. That's right baby. 8 rounds of 9mm. Or an old FN 5.7x28mm IOM.

Never worn a kilt, never kilt nobody, and hope I never have to do either ;)

Let's put it this way sharp shooter. Put yourself at the other end of the barrel and you had a choice of being shot by a single 9mm or .45. Now tell me which would you choose not to be shot by. I'm not even talking about placement or head shots. I'm talking about doing the most immediate damage. Like I said I love them both and to tell you the truth I rather use my bare hands. Been practicing martial arts for 40 yrs. since at the age of 13.

point taken I wouldn't want to be shot by either, and I guess it really wouldn't matter what caliber..unless of course it was a 10MM..

I love .45 for the push and no flip, I just prefer 9mm, its cheaper so I can shoot more, which I haven't been doing much of for a couple months.. except for .22's..

Oh, and it's my daily carry!!

really liking this one!

afraid I'd have to use the slip grip if I ever owned a glock. just never felt right in my hand. but it does feel right with the slip on.

You need 3 pistols: a .357, a .45 and a 9mm. The three most common pistol cartridges. That way you can scavange ammo easily when the zombie apocalypse comes. 40 cal if you swing that way too (I never liked shooting it). You also need a .308, a 12 gauge, a couple ar's and a 30-06.

Here's a place where you can download some of the infamous strasbourg tests. I checked some of the data real quick against the Sept 93 Handguns article by Evan Marshall and the data appears to be the same. So if you don't happen to have the old magazine, here you go. (9mm, .45acp, and 10mm data included.)

Ok, I have 45's, 9's, 357, 22, 12 gauge, 308's, 45/70, (zombies) and a 5.45x .39 'cause the ammo is so cheap.

Skipped right over the AR thing, and went for FAL and AK74.

...... and a .50 for Zombie knives.

I Lol'd :)

Come to the land of Australia, the government has deemed anything larger than 9mm to be unnecessary, overpowered and therefore a bugger to get a permit to buy and use.

Oh, and keep up the chest thumping you crazy guys :)

Guys, here’s how it really works. A knife is used to fight your way to a handgun, a handgun is used to fight your way to a rifle, and a rifle is used to fight your way to a radio. You then use the radio to call in a MK-84 JDAM air strike. Any questions?

Yes, I have one question. . . Where does the drinking part come in?. . . 'cause my Daddy used to say, "Do what you're good at son.". . . and pretty much, the whole drinking thing is the only part I'm any good at.:eek::eek::D

I'm standing by for further instructions. . . I am ready to go code blue and get "unlocked and loaded". . . For you Non-Tactical Drinkers, that means I have the liquor cabinet unlocked and I'm ready to get loaded!!!!. .:D:thumbup:

Let's Drink!!!

Jerry :D
