9 mm is for sissies 45 is for real men

I love 'em both. My 9mm is great fun gun to shoot, 15 rounds per clip and is dead accurate. My .45ACP is for personal protection. Besides head shoots on both guns. The .45s got the better stopping power. 6'8" and 300 lbs. coming at you, I would grab my 12 gauge.

Baker, that's so SWEET.. I'm a HUGE Glock Fan myself.......

and a big 9mm fan I may add..

Can't believe this is even a thread, a caliber war on a bladeforum... go figure..

.22 will smoke 'em all, just ask any assassin.......... numbers don't lie.. more people are killed with a .22 then ANY other caliber..

who's the real man now???

There is NO such thing as STOPPING power..

there is however a such thing as Placement and power in numbers..
there is a such thing as FOLLOW UP shots..

I can out shoot anyone in my league with a 9mm vs. .45 add stress to this factor, life threatening factor and they're done..

I agree completely.... I used to be really good at Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64 with the little ppk versus everyone else with their big ole DD44 Dostevoi! :D

Thanks, Daze!

I've been a 1911 guy, but I switched to Glock just to get this set-up, and I really like it!

This is funny, I was hangin with my lawyer today and he has a silouette target on his office wall(I love Texas)so I ask him what made all those holes ,and he says "my 9 mm"and then I say somthing along the lines of " yea but what about all the guys who say the .45 is the way to go,and the 9 is underpowered"and he proceds to break out this chart and shows me that a 9 loaded with ??? grain cor-bons have a 90-something percent kill % . For the record I have a stainless 92 fs in the nightstand,as long as I have had it coupled with military service I am confident I could make that thing work in pitch darkness under the most extreme stress.

Gotta love testosterone! You go guy, kill all those targets!

Lunde, I like that pistole, and Jerry I just might try that J.W. Blue if I can find a 1/2 pint. That stuff has a price tag like Pyrat Cask 23 RUM.

Let's put it this way sharp shooter. Put yourself at the other end of the barrel and you had a choice of being shot by a single 9mm or .45. Now tell me which would you choose not to be shot by. I'm not even talking about placement or head shots. I'm talking about doing the most immediate damage. Like I said I love them both and to tell you the truth I rather use my bare hands. Been practicing martial arts for 40 yrs. since at the age of 13.

So much chest thumping in this thread, I'm shocked, shocked I tell you...:p

Haha, yeah really. How much stress factor and life threatening factor is there in your "league"? :D No such thing as stopping power? Really? Ok...

Ya man - David killed Goliath with a slingshot - but he was probably chunking a 45 caliber rock :D;)
