1st production run _ _ of 750 are now in the mix. :thumbup:
 
KSF has them in stock, probably because they're so close to BM.

I had a First Production Run 531 and sold it. I didn't care for the fact that it was stamped on the blade. At 1st, I didn't think I'd mind, but I did. Congratulations to you guys getting the 940-1. It looks like a great knife and I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures and opinions.
 
Mine was shipped just now by Knives Ship Free and should be here by the end of this week!

With their MAP enforcement Benchmade knives cost too much now! I'm limiting myself to just two this year: 484 and 940-1 because of their premium handles and blade steel. They're almost like limited editions!
 
Thanks for the heads up. Planned to order right away but knowing it's the first production run shipping now, I'll wait to get one without the excessive writing on the blade

I hate billboards on blades...the new MAP pricing gripes me no end...but I have one incoming from KSF, who are just about the nicest folks around. I've wanted to see something like this for years, decided I couldn't wait. :o :D

Not the first time...you guys are great. And this is a great knife. I got one of the REI 940S-701 knives (CF/S30V serrated) back in 2007 and have been wanting a PLAIN EDGE PLEASE for what, seven years? Here it is. :thumbup: It is a real pleasure doing business with you guys. :thumbup:
 
Sweet knife but I'll wait until the first production is sold, the writing they put on the right side of the blade is extremely tacky. I wish they could find a more tasteful way of doing this, especially on limited edition knives.
 
I want one but I'll wait until some picky person accidentally cuts something and thinks their knife is ruined and sells it for a loss

CRAP! I forgot about the "First Production" markings... Ugh... mine is in the mail, and I was stoked to get it, but the only writing I like is the "Limited Edition".. I can't believe I forgot they did that. I wanted a clean blade. :\
 
I can't seem to find a pic of these markings on the blade anywhere - even with a Google image search. What does it look like?
