Hey man, get a Benchmade model 42. It has great balance, weight, and everyone loves the profile.

Look around you can find them pretty cheap on-line.

I've got one myself. Great design. Here's a pic of it after i did some heavy chopping:



Notice the big red X in the middle. That means it's a first production run. Great design and a really great knife IMHO.

I knew that it was going to happen eventually. Some clown on ebay is trying to sell a cheap, pos imitation "_". Can you believe it?! Although there is no picture of the (included) box, I don't think it's the original packaging--as the seller claims--since, iirc, the boxes only came with the extra-large, blue "_"'s. Still, I was thinking of posting a bid just for fun--do you think $4.99 is too high? (I would hate to have to buy it in case I get the winning bid).
 
Just received my _ in red - it's just plain gorgeous!!;) I'll post a pix so you can see how it compares to the original _ as well as my 4 1/4" keychain folder for size comparison! My only wish now is that I had gotten it in the damascus.:( Any one have a picture of the _ in damascus?

_^_ ? hmm the spacers look kinda thick on that one... how well does it hold up to the spine whack test?

I'd like to hear Cliff Stamp's thoughts on all these new models coming out!

Samuel - Anodized or powder coated? Neither! It's some type of matte finish, high tech, sticky tape! Really makes the 'standard' model _ outstanding & a lot more collectible.;)
