A BeckerHead's EDC looks like...

Yeah, the Ti version is a bit pricey, but I've had that one on my key chain for three years, and have changed the rod three times...just changed it today as a matter of fact...the striker once when I upgraded to carbide when they started making the carbide strikers. It has been used in a LOT of fire starting demonstrations. The XL versions are much better, with a larger diameter rod and a larger striker, and they don't cost near as much. I have a few of those in various kits, but I like the Ti one on my key chain since I do have it.

Yeah, if I were a woman and could get away with carrying a purse, I'd have enough shit on me at any given time to withstand a siege :)

I've thought about it but never gotten around to doing anything about it.

Maybe this is what the next round of Beckerhead hats should be.

Right? That would be awesome. Hey, we still have... er... belt pouches(?) (fanny packs? haha.), and backpacks, so we have our options.

I regularly refer to my Maxpedition versipack as my purse just so they look at me funny-then take a step back when they see its packed full of sharp things and ways to start fires:D
