Thanks, this one I have had for about a year now, I have a couple different zippos. This one is brushed brass 1937 vintage series, it's my favourite. I have an identical one that is brushed chrome as well.This one looks good because working as a marine mechanic, oily greasy hands help the patina along nicely haha.

Ah, good to know. Just got my brass zippo a couple of months ago. It's lookin' good now that I've got the coating off, but I can't wait for it to be like that.

Well i do agree with you but changed the ligher for a Ferro rod,

In my EDC now
Leatherman surge (planning to change to charge TTi for less weight and titanium awesomeness)
Preon P1 titanium (70+ lumens on 1 aaa, yay plus titanium double yay)
A aluminum pealess whistle (plan to change to vargo titanium one)
My glasses cloth
My phone I phone 4 s
Lip balm Jack black mint e shea butter (that taste)
Ferro rod
Pen Big i Design Solid titanium pen (yeah titanium sucker here if not noticed)


Dont ask me how it turned upside down... the ferro rod is still in the bag

My EDC has changed so I figured I should update it in here too. I carry my Kershaw Cryo in my pocket and a Maxpedition Micro Pocket Organizer.
In the Maxpedition from left to right: SwissTech Multitool, Ferro Rod, Streamlight Microstream(NOW IM A TRUE BECKERHEAD) -- (in the slip pocket behind is a ziplock type bag) lighter and Victorinox One-Handed Trekker NS (non-serrated) with Nite Ize Hip Clip pocket clip, Burt's Bees Beeswax Chapstick above (in the slip pocket on this side is the striker for the ferro rod that has saw-like teeth on it--its wrapped in a few feet of electrical tape and has 2 different size repair needles stuck in the tape----credit card with 20ft of duct tape is in the front mesh pocket--I could easily get a lot more in here but this is as bulky as I would want it.

Not pictured EDC items: Front pocket wallet, Motorolla Droid RAZR phone, Paracord bracelet (OD green or grey) that I made, Paracord necklace with cross that I made (also in OD green or grey), watch (Timex expedition is my every day/outdoors watch and a Bulova Marine Star thats my dressy watch)

Streamlights are all we use at the FireDept as for the Microstream mine has been through the washer and dryer several times and still works great. Not sure how you get much more water resistant than that.

It's the system used in it, its pretty safe (really safe read about it candlelight foruns), but it cant be light underwater if I'm mistaken...

The better water resist on the 4 sevens is on depth... But minimal stuff and can be lit underwater...

But the clip on the streamlight rocks
