A Chris Reeve-type titanium framelock folder.

I've been drooling over Mr. Wilkins knives especialy the Leafstorm for over a year, now. Just like the Caly III, it seems like Spyderco is making another one of my folder dreams come true.

I EDC'd a Leafstorm for a few months. It's a very well made small folder. A Spyderco production version would be definitely COOL!

>>We do have some designs for integrals locks, but they are Compression locks rather than RIL's, mostly becasuse of the increased strength of the Compression lock. (Ed Schempp's "Tuff" and a "Lil' Temp 2" both in Titan).

Sal: Any more news or pics on the Titanium Temp? Blade size? When can we look forward to holding it?

I'd want a Caly or Caly Jr.

(I've been trying for years to try and figure out how to put a spyerco hole on a seb).

A hole and a compression lock ;)

That center one is the one I had in my head.
The compression lock would perfect on this knife as long as it is on the back side of the scales like in the pic.
HOME RUN

I've read, I think it was here, or maybe at Spyderco, that the proto was more like the ATR. I don't know if this holds any water at all.

I would definitely buy that knife in the photo. But I don't want Byrd to make it. I'll pay the extra to get it made in America/Japan and get the real spyderhole.

WOW!!!!!! Spyderco and Chris Reeve are my two favorite knife makers. Full flat ground Spyderbenza might be the ultimate knife (well, for me at least).
  • Ti handles
  • Sebenza pivot and bushing
  • 3" VG-10, S30V, 154CPM, or ZDP full flat ground slim drop point with a nice point like the blade on the right in the picture
  • compression or integral lock, doesn't matter to me as long as it's built with Chris Reeve + Spyderco quality
To whom do I send my money?

...so many good inputs to see here.
Like many i would like to see a Paramilitary or small Manix in Ti, but lets face the truth. There is only one knife that would quake the whole knifeworld. Only one knife able to kick the true Sebenza out of my pocket...Taddaaaaaaaa(Drums)

The Starmate C55, 3 screw construction (same size..using 2 different screws looks imperfect to me), and tip down.

But whatever Sal and Crew brewing...keep the "Less is more" in mind Please.

Now lets wait (and save some bugs!) :D

p.s dialex's concept is darn good.

How about a Military w/ a solid Ti frame lock on one side and a slab of G-10 on the other handle side. You'd have the grip of G-10 but the solid security of a Chris Reeves Ti frame lock on the other side. I think it'd be a pretty wicked setup. Steel options for the blade are many. Just something befitting of such a solid handle foundation.

I'd like to see a 2 7/16" folder with a flat ground blade like the Kopa or Navigator II in S30V with a titanium integral compression lock. This would be my perfect everyday knife since it would be small and light, yet have a great blade and handle/lock. If the lock design allows for it, I would be fine with 1 side of the handle in Ti with the other in CF. Since this knife is going to be on the expensive end of the spectrum, I think it makes sense to include the compression lock and premium blade material. Since I don't know what would sell the most, if it makes more sense with a 3" blade like the Caly3, that would be fine too - although the Ti compression lock Lil' Temperance might make this redundant (I assume it will use S30V).

Great, another thread revived. Which made me wonder if Jürgen finished the prototypes...
