A Day in the... Knife? Daily, What do you actually use your EDC for?

Most of the time my pocketknives pose for pictures to be posted on knife forums so as to show off, look cool, incite knife envy and encourage others to post pictures of their knives in order to show they have better photographic skills or cooler and more expensive knives. Kitchen knives are mostly used for food preparation and kept meticulously sharp.

Carried the Domino today. Flipped it a ton. Split a couple rolls at lunch. Sharpened a pencil that kept breaking in the sharpener. Used it for a spoon to eat a pint of Ben&Jerrys on the drive home so my wife wouldn’t know. Leaf shaped blade never made more sense.

The Domino is so underrated. Great knife.

I cut/slice about 20 things a day that don't require it. I get fidgety when I haven't made use of the blade in my pocket or on my belt and as a result get through a lot of electrical tape to hold together wounds. Seriously, I am lucky to live in an outdoor environment where there is always a use for a knife, usually fixed blade, but in an urban setting the usual stuff like cutting fruit, opening boxes, cleaning nails etc...any excuse.

I usually carry 2 knives .. a stainless somehting or other and an izulaII stainless thing is used for eating eith and food related stuff
izula is used for everything else ..
Mostly tho I just use it for regular stuff , cutting rope , packets , rubber hoses , wiring harnesses .. some stuff thats unique to living in a coal mining area teeming with wildlife .. put down car hit animals left to die slow , and roos stuck by their legs hung upside down in barbed wire fences ..

This morning I used it to punch a couple holes in a small milk carton for my dad. You know, like this ;)
