This is the original field knife. It’s a little smaller than the HDFK, and it’s discontinued. There’s a FK2 coming out soon.

I’m sorry, I guess you’re referring to the pic with a HDFK next to the Spartan blade.

This is my favourite model for versatility!!! If you are wanting to try one out, you can likely score one in the sale tomorrow.

See The Next Sale thread above.

Thanks boss, I did see that. I was hoping to get a decent idea of the size before I took the plunge.

I would like to add that tomorrow's sale will be a big slow sale that anybody can get in on, but it will be the last of this pattern, at least for a while.

If you like the pattern you might want to grab one tomorrow. They're going to get harder to come by after this.

@ilyk there's a couple of in-hand shots of the proto HERE, only minor differences between the D2 proto and the production d3v models IIRC.

I’m an idiot... Thank you! I’ve spent the last two days grinding through the 240+ pages of the general pic thread. So focused on remembering what page I was on when I left off, the definitive rational thought of searching HDFK escaped me.

Thank you sir. Very much appreciated.

    This is sage advice.

Thank you gentlemen! Very kind and very helpful. I’ve read a lot, a lot of posts in here in the last few days.

    This is a great group.

My apologies OP! Didn’t mean to hijack your thread!

    Back on track!

Been a busy winter guys but finally took my phone to work today for a couple photos.

Lunch break with some of new coffee: Black Rifle instant sticks which rock.

Man that open ground looks good. We're still dealing with the cold stuff.
