A few prototype videos from SHOT

Anybody know if the domino will employ a bearing system like the southard? Also, did anyone catch where this one will be produced? Id love to see this one come out of Golden but for quality sake I'd take thaichung in a heartbeat.

When he flips the Domino over to show the lock I believe the marking says Taichung.

I'm really liking this one. Would love to have one of the older ones in micarta, but this one will do. My favorite shade of green/grey, and favorite color overall really. I'm trying to cut way back on my buying, but don't think I can pass on this one.

Holy crap. Looks like I need to start putting some money aside. Matriarch, Domino, and Karahawk are on the must have list. If you've got more videos coming I might need to get a second job.

What was the steel on the Karahawk?

Karahawk says VG-10 on the one side of the blade and Seki City, Japan on the other.

Damnit, another expensive Ti RIL design. :grumpy:
With the spyderco prices i guess i won't be able to afford the Domino.
It shure looks nice.

Domino is a heart-stealer... definitely going on the "must have" list. Looking forward to the various Para2 iterations too... gotta wonder about pricing on all these though... going to be an expensive year. ;)

Yeah, that is what I saw as well, paused it and zoomed in.

In terms of materials and construction it just kind of 'screamed' Taichung to me too. I'll get some close-ups at the upcoming Amstertdam Meet, showing the markings better.

Karahawk and domino are must haves for me when they come out the others are just meh. but those two gotta have! Hey Spyderco hurry up I need my Karahawk and domino!!

I swear man you are our Spydie hero for bringing coverage of new models. You travel to all these shows really remarkable dedication, I salute you sir and thank you :)

I've waited a while for that goddard and now the karahawk! Oh man! Can't wait to see what's next!

Sorry if I missed it Mr. Blonde, but size wise where does the Domino fit? It looks slightly bigger than a Sage, but not quite Manix size, but it is always hard to tell in pictures.

Per "I think that is the most hideous knife I have ever seen in my life." and "the Khalsa is just gag worthy", don't be put off by looks. Jot makes a very good knife design and the old version cut well. I am pretty sure there are specific reasons for the look. IIRC the handle is to match a traditional knife syle of the Sikh Kirpan. It looks weird, but that makes it a real conversation piece. The Sikhs have a specific belief about knives and carrying them, however I am not clear on the details.

Spyderco did do a "gag" with the original design. IIRC, the ad copy for it shows Jot riding the knife holding on to the hump.
