A few prototype videos from SHOT

Looks like the Domino is going to be quite popular. I can't wait to see what else they are working on!

I like the Goddard except for what appears to be a non-adjustable pivot. Domino is pretty sweet looking too. Thanks for the vids!

That Domino is a must have, and I was liking that Equilibrium as well. It'd make a great little utility blade, also something that would be public friendly as well.

Per "I think that is the most hideous knife I have ever seen in my life." and "the Khalsa is just gag worthy", don't be put off by looks. Jot makes a very good knife design and the old version cut well. I am pretty sure there are specific reasons for the look. IIRC the handle is to match a traditional knife syle of the Sikh Kirpan. It looks weird, but that makes it a real conversation piece. The Sikhs have a specific belief about knives and carrying them, however I am not clear on the details.

Spyderco did do a "gag" with the original design. IIRC, the ad copy for it shows Jot riding the knife holding on to the hump.

To make it even more 'gag worthy' the ad featured Jot flying on the knife in front of downtown manhattan with the twin towers prominently in view. This was shortly before 9/11. Now, Sikhs had nothing to do with 9/11, but try explain that to a mainstream audience who just see some 'middle eastern dude' (even if they're actually not seeing that).

Sorry if I missed it Mr. Blonde, but size wise where does the Domino fit? It looks slightly bigger than a Sage, but not quite Manix size, but it is always hard to tell in pictures.

I have no exact specs, to me it seemed similar in size to a Manix 2 - maybe a smidge smaller.

Please Sal Please, Domino with a Carbon Fiber scale!!! Like on the Gayle Bradley, not the Szabo.

^^^

To have everyone moan that it isn't solid CF? Nah. I can imagine it already..."I like everything about it except the scale, why they do that(Patrick voice)". lol, always like the GB and Sage1 but yeah, doubt that'll happen for the Domino.

True story. I did hear Eric make sure to mention that the glass fiber on the domino was a laminate on g10 though which should make those demanding clarification in the catalog happy. Personally I'd like to see it with plain old g10, maybe in some less common color. I don't believe spyderco has done green g10 on a full production knife yet.

I noticed that too, and would second a green G10. Waiting to see what the PM2 looks like.

I really like the Karahawk. But shouldn´t the angle between the blade and handle be a bit more towards 90 degrees? I don´t understand how you are supposed to use your forefinger in the hole for hooking and cutting joints etc.

It looks like one of those straight fixed blade knives with a finger hole on the end of the handle swamping the market a few years ago. All of them trying to cash in on the Karambit hype. None of them understanding the concept and probably finding out that you get quite close to the grinding wheel with your hands while making proper Karambits.

I hope Spyderco change the angle so it will be more like their previous karambit.

/C.

good ol' G10 ftw.

domino looks great minus the glass fiber laminate.

it won't be a deal breaker though because that's a sweet design.

Wow!I just noticed the Domino. Will they be regular production?I have to get one.

Traditional karambits vary a considerable amount in blade curve/angle.

I like it.
