A Final Thank You All GAW/Winners Announced in post 131

Not an entry Biscuit. It's been nice having you here. I have seen your posts all over the forum. Thanks for your contributions of thoughts, pictures, and information on the forum. Smoke and prayers going out tonight. I visited the beach yesterday in South haven, MI. Beautiful out here. Sometimes it's really nice to kick back and relax and enjoy the simple things in life. It's nice to see things for what they really are once in a while. Be happy buddy. -Nicholas

Count me in Bob, thats a very generous GAW. I've enjoyed your presence here, as well as the tone of good will you bring to the forum and over on SP. Thank You

I've read through this incredible thread a couple times--it's noble and painful, and hits too close to home for me. I just lost the man who raised me; he was very sick, and finally decided to refuse further treatment. I do not know you sir, but my heart goes out to you and your family. May there be some way to turn things around for you. Thanks for your posts and contributions here; I've read and enjoyed many of them.

Anthony

I have been dreading to hear this kind of news for the last few months Bob. I can say I have never met a better member on this forum than you. I'm in for the giveaway but not because of the knife, but for the memory it will bring. Thanks for making my experience on Bladeforums a much better one. Tell your grandson to join the forum when he's ready. We'll take good care of him.

Hi Bob!

Nice GAW you got going here. It'll be fun to see who wins this nice stuff.

Not an entry, I was already the recipient in a generous Bob GAW, I'll stay out of the way.

BTW guys, did you know Bob used to race motorcycles on ICE!!!! He was just a pup back then though, maybe not as smart as he is now, have you seen the spikes in those tires! I guess He's always had a thing for sharp stuff.

Good luck entrants!

Not an entry Bob.

Hopes & Prayers to you. We all love the contributions you have made to the porch...and look forward to more of the same!

Peter

Not an entry as i would rather those who really know you win. I would like to say that i am wishing you and your family the best that can be and that i am hoping for one of those miracles that happens from time to time.

Jim

Thanks Bob for all you have contributed and all the thoughts and prayers are yours! My dad is battling throat cancer and is 5 weeks into chemo and radiation as I type this. He was the strongest man I knew and to watch him battle this is heartwrenching. Once again thoughts and prayers and thank you for all your kindness here on the forum.

I'm just sitting here trying to think of something worthwhile to say. I've lost both parents to cancer. I was the primary caregiver for my mother until she went. No matter what, it's going to be hard on your family and friends.

I think you're making the right decision. Get your affairs in order and make the most of the time left. Make sure you reach out and get a good hospice lined up; your family will need that as much as you.

My heart goes out to you and your family. God bless you all.

Not an entry, please.

Bob, I haven't had the opportunity to interact with you directly, but I've enjoyed and admired your posts. My grandfather, who is the best man I've ever known, made the same decision for a different disease against which he'd long battled. It is an honorable and courageous one.

My dad's name is Bob and I took this picture for him when I was visiting Buenos Aires, Argentina last year:

Please take it as a symbol of the far and wide reach of Bobs, just like the far and wide reach of the folks that you have touched here on the Porch.

You and your family are in my prayers.

Bob, live life to its fullest, never give up and stay sharp! Smoke and prayers from the FBC family! Thank you for all you contribute to the Porch
I would be honored to be in on this one.

Like many, I have been trying to decide what to write in this thread but without much success. Bob, your OP was one of the bravest and most heartbreaking things I have ever read. I had an aunt who battled cancer off and on for thirty years before finally deciding to do what you have. She was an extraordinary woman. You have been in our thoughts and prayers for some time, and I hope you tarry here as often as you wish. You will always have a seat here on the porch.

Thank you Bob for being the voice of welcome and reason that helped me to find my way when I was new here. You have and will continue to be in my family's nightly prayers.

***NOT AN ENTRY***

I'm not in. But I want to express how much I don't like this post.

Fighting is hard and I respect your decision. Thank you for the kindness you have shown us--and me.

^^I was going to say something along these lines, but this pretty much nails it. I wish you and your loved ones the best, BB.

Bob, I know yours wasn't an easy decision. Try to make the most of and enjoy whatever time you have. Not one of us knows how long we have on this earth.

Thank you for your contributions to making this porch what it is, and the world a better place.
