A game to play

Im a hypocrite, I wouldn't want my sons to do it. It's not for everyone. I also ride back country roads all over Kentucky, we have nice twisty roads through the mountains. I love it because at that speed nothing else is on my mind, literally focused on one thing, staying alive. It's amazing, but needs to be respected and only done when appropriate by a rider skilled enough to not die. And even then anything can happen. I might have a screw loose.
I hear you. I did plenty of things I wouldn't want my boys to do. Might still do one or two.

I'll also add, the modern liter bikes are built for it, super stable and planted. Aerodynamically made for it. So much power it will lift the front wheel at 170.😁

The danger comes when you lose your fear and respect for the machine.
I agree about the respect. You also have to make sure your vehicle is properly maintained. A tire blowout at 80+ is a recipe for disaster.

I get it, I ride a zx10r. Late night highway riding when it's empty it's not hard to hit 195. It would make sensible folks change their underwear.
I haven't kept up with what is available for fast bikes. I'm just glad I survived my youth. I had a GSX-R 1100 in a 750 frame with racing cams, exhaust, carbs, the whole bit. '88 motor in the '86 frame which was the lightest. I bought it for $2000 in around '92 believe it or not, highly tuned, and I never messed with it.
It was surprisingly reliable, I made the stupid ass-busting decision to drive it right across the country.

That is like so passee. More than a liter, but mine complains when I try this until I switch the traction control off 🤣

Not that I would know what happens at 170, CA 65 mph speed limit and all ;)

I think they were more dangerous back then, suspension was in its infancy compared to now. Anytime you have 200hp to the wheel on a machine that weighs 400 pounds, shit is dangerous.
