A HISTORICAL announcement for KAI at SHOT Show 2016 and an entire NEW line of knives.

Frankly, other than the very pleasant conversation with Jack, my favorite from this year is the spoon/fork combination. :D

I like the clip and the curvature should make for easier handling. I asked for and am hoping for a Titanium version.

I was kinda intrigued by the Cinder - if you read Rick's comments about the design - I think I have to have one and one of the new TX-Tools -

He lays it out well in the BHQ vid as well. Basically challenged himself to design the smallest functional knife he could. What is the street price on this one and the barge supposed to be?

my favorites of the new stuff is the emersons. the auto and bigger folder..the 9k i think it is. been waiting for a bigger cheaper emerson designed folder from kershaw, that fits my knife design likes and whatnot. i am excited for that one myself....

The list price is 10.99, so it could not be discounted all that much - maybe $8? Just a guess - dirt cheap though...

The autos are killin' me - I have not bought any because they are currently illegal in Illinois - I am hoping Mr. Ritter can get that changed.....

I'll probably pick up a spline and a pharite.

I think you would also like the Shield - I have one that have been using - great little knife!

Just got home and the emerson auto, i got from kershawguy, is sitting on my mail shelf. Yep, everyone deserves to own and carry an auto if they want to. I hope y'all get your rights back.

Weirdly and i use and carry autos often, cause i can legally, im more exicted about the folder emerson. Maybe cause its not available yet as i post this?. I got the zt 0909 couple days ago and its a true winner. Bigger specs but feels much smaller in the hand. Edges of liners are a bit sharpish and g10 over the liner lock is a bit thin, but still a winner. Kai has been getting me to spend some money lately and not feel bad about it.

My state finally passed a repeal on the switchblade ban...just waiting for the governor to sign the bill. I think the Launch 6 will be my first automatic if its out in time, if not I'll also be getting an Emerson Launch 5:-)

You won't be disappointed. Ive been playing with the emerson. Its nice for the price. Super thin but sturdy. I have a couple of the launches and all have been quite nice for made in america and low prices. Only thing i miss is a safety. Button alone is dangerous, but benchmades patent deal. Rules are rules. With knife rights work on getting silly spring knife laws removed it will be a new era for autos. Im excited by kai and others getting back into the market. .

Yeah. I live about an hour away from the border between us and Indiana, and I must admit that I feel knife law envy with them sitting next door.

I definitely am getting the auto Emerson design. That is right up my alley! Also, whenever I'm going to a beer meet-up with friends, I usually have my Shuffle with me. Only issue I have with that knife is that it's wide in the pocket. That little guy looks like it could fill in for the Shuffle with that bottle-opener end!
