For helping make this happen and taking the wonderful pix. It's great to match the face up the voice we're all so familar hearing on the phone. Bridget truly looks happy, and she deserves this. I'm glad our small group was able to pull this off. Keep up the great work. As you probably already know, your company has my business for life.

Regards,

Rob Worden aka: K-guy:)

OK Guys. Let's not stop here. I have always wanted a damascus Sebenza, so i figure all it would take is... :)

Just kidding of course. I found this thread just tonight, long after the deed was already done, but i'm always for rewarding nice, helpful people, there arent enough of them out there, and i think this was a great, heart warming thing to do.

One more reason to continue to cherish my Sebenzas.

Well, that was money well spent for sure!

It must be cool to work for a company, where your customers (!) buy you such an amazing gift!

Can we get a more close-up picture of the knife? I believe it was signed by the CRK-crew?

Bridgette, Enjoy your knife!

Ted

A MESSAGE FROM BRIDGET:

WOW!!!! What a huge surprise!!! You guys are the greatest, most caring bunch of guys I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I would have never ever expected anything like this…..

A Green Beret knife, flowers and all your letters and compliments – WOW!!! I am truly touched and extremely happy with this gift!!! It means so much to me - more then I can possibly put into words (I hope the pictures show it all!!). It is the perfect gift!!

It’s truly my honor and pleasure to know and help all of you. I love my job and one of the fun parts is being able to speak and talk with you guys when you call or e-mail!! (I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting a few of you!!). I only wish and hope that one day I will be able to meet and thank each and everyone of you face to face!!

From the bottom of my heart --- THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Lots of Smiles :) :) :) :) :)
Bridget

P.S. What a Group!!! You guys ROCK!!!!

The questions is....Did Bridget know about it before she received it, or was the secret truly kept a secret? :)

Yes, it really was a surprise. Luckily she did not link together any of the slips that were made - a customer came into the shop and started talking about the knife and the blank look on her face told him to change the subject; while we were signing the knife, we had to so some nifty re-direction when Bridget walked up to Lisa's bench where the knife was lying out in the open; there were a couple of emails that she might have seen but it seems that, because they were addressed to me, she ignored them! If you look at the picture that Ida-Al posted of the presentation, you can see her puzzled, even aprehensive expression! If she had an inkling of what was happening, she was completely overwhelmed by the magnitude of everyone's generosity!

Y'all did good :)!

Anne

I know this thread is old but I just happened to stumble upon it after searching for something else.

Extremely nice gesture!

I wonder if Bridget has used it at all or if it just sits in a collection?

I didn't see this thread when it was current. Funny timing, because my first dealings with Bridget weere in Ocober 2002 just about when this was winding up. She was an absolute sweetheart then and has been in the MANY dealings I have had with her since.

I personally know of forum members who have been so impressed with her and the legendary CRK service that they have sent her a Starbucks gift card and even had a local bakery send a bunch of pastries to the shop one morning. Not many people inspire that kind of response from their customers.

Still waiting for that "Calendar" picture, though...

I checked with Bridget - her knife has never been used - it sits at home as a wonderful reminder of your generosity! Matt - the pastries were wonderful, even though it took us a while to figure out who had sent them. You guys treat us very well.

Oh, by the way, Bridget says don't hold your breath on that calendar picture.... :)

Anne

Anne,

I was trying to be modest but I guess I am busted now! Regarding the calendar pic, well I make my own calendar with pix of my knives (one for each month), that's how warped I am.

I hope to make it to the Solvang show next week.

This is the first I saw it too :o . She has been very sweet and helpful, and I'm glad she got that gift! I was reading to the end before I realized how old this thread was.
Thanks Bridget! :D
