Take a look at the JKs in my sig. Otherwise he has quite a few offerings that may suit your wants.

 those look nice. Only problem I have right now is the exchange rate. Those sale prices are sweet, but still with shipping both are well over $200

Looks like I'll need to wait a little while until until we catch up again. :thumbdn:

Had a great afternoon with the boys yesterday. I swear Ray has 5000 knives!

Oh, and GSOM: Bucket Brewery "Pail Ale"
(oughta give Ray a residual chuckle too)

Sounds great brother! Wish I could of been there with you all.

I wish you could have too but you were there in spirit at least. We did talk about you since some of the knives we had were bought from you. Oddly enough, most of the comments about you were positive too.:D

LOL. Too bad we ran out of time. I didn't get to show you the rest.

Need to get some snarking fluid in here. Oh, here it is.

Sometimes all you need is a little Dickel.....it provides that little tickel. If you have too much you'll be in a pickel.

I tried to convince my wife that she needed a little, all she said to me was 'no' :D

Me on the other hand today am going with opiates. Apparently I'm an old man. I can't even play 5 games of softball without waking up feeling like somebody was hitting me with the bat.

I'm sure the entire bottle of Sailor Jerry's I while doing all that playing didn't help.

I need a nap.

You need some English lessons.

I've been blessed with many things in this life. The grasp and comprehension of the written English language is not one of them.

I'll take a few lessons in 25 years when I'm retired at 57 ;)

I think I would have just blamed it on the opiates.

Took some classes in land nav and firemaking this weekend in 98-degree heat. Came away from the map and compass stuff feeling like a champ. The firemaking ... feeling like a chump. Feathersticks and igniting natural tinder bundles look a lot easier than they turned out to be. I need some practice.

Look closely and you'll see the singed ends in that tinder that I never got a flame out of. Oddly enough, I could rock a hand drill from the get-go. But that could have been beginners luck.

Mostly I'm envious as hell that you'll retire at 57....tho my second daughter won't (hopefully) graduate from college until I'm 64....I probably can't EVER retire.

This was posted on another forum. Thought it was kinda cool.

I know ;) it is snark after all. Like Dunk said...i should of blamed the pills.

If all things go to plan...my youngest should be 26 by the time I retire (unless the wife wins the battle for #4). At that age I was married, in my own house, and had a child on the way lol. I can only pray its the same for them ;)

I will retire then. My wife said she'll never retire because she likes what she does. After I retire we'll do contract nursing and travel on her contracts :D unless we have grand babies....then we will be home more then away ;)

Picked some sweet corn the other day and cooked it up today. Grilled some burgers and taters to go with. Turned out pretty darn good.

Foolproof Raincloud Porter. Local.
Eh, not my thing. Good example of the overly-roasted porter style.
But the American Golden Ale (or whatever) was a perfectly serviceable alternative to the ubiquitous American blah-ger.
Eager to try the other varieties. Oh looky here, there are two more!

Had a good time at the family reunion today, got home, dad says "Come on, Nobs, I'll take you for a little ride." (Nobs is my Rat Terrier who is recovering from a fatty tumor removal and has quite a few stitches where it was, and he hates them) I had put a little shirt from when I was 3 or 4 on him so he wouldn't bite the stitches out. As dad was walking out the door, I say, "You need to pull the shirt towards his chest or he's going to pee on it," dad walks out the door, mumbles a 'yeah' and leaves. Iwalk to my Grandma's house where dad took Nobs, only to find that Nobs has no shirt on. I asked dad why, grandma answers for him, "Oh, he wet on it. He untied his top stitch too!"

When I asked dad why he didn't pull the shirt up like I told him, he said "well I was gonna but he kept running off before I could get it pulled up."

I look down a few minutes later and, surprise, the top freaking stitch is nowhere to be found. :thumbdn:

Heavy sigh....

Looks like I need to catch up on about 5 pages of snark since I did not keep up well during my business trip to Arizona...

But before that, I finally busted the cherry on the Terrio chef's knife that came the week before my trip. It cuts like a laser through food stuffs. I seriously sliced one tomato so thin that I could see through it! It was instrumental in dinner tonight.

The final product and the knife.

First was a Honey-Goat Cheese Pizza with Caramelized Onions. The goat cheese was Chevre, and the honey was from a feral hive that I attempted to relocate. I was forced to kill the bees, but got 30 pounds of wild honey out of the deal. Also includes a bit of olive oil, fresh mozzarella and parmesan.

Close-up shot...

Second was a Caprese pizza. Roma tomatoes (with some additional sun-dried tomatoes for good measure), fresh mozzarella, basil, and olive oil.

Perhaps next weekend I'll have time to get proper photos for a review to post in JT's sub-forum. A delicious bit of testing so far...
