That sucks Dubz. But at least your package is doing something. Over here it gets to the post office. Then stays at the post office. Then it keeps staying there. Then someone looks at it. Then someone kicks it out of the road cos it's blocking the walkway. Once the dust thickness on the package has exceeded 8-9mm it gets put on a truck to go and gather dust at another post office.

I'm not trippin'. It's just incense. Sweetgrass, to be exact.

Hey Trade. Good to see you mate. Dunk has a new toy. And Bladite bought a winch. He's been winching trees. And I like mother/daughter acts (apparently).

Hang on. Wait. What do you mean ISN'T a shocking revelation? :D

Cousin of yours Zz?

Third cousin, twice remove... :D

That's what is the last word of Webster's International dictionary (1913, 1939, 1961) editions and what I obviously used as the basis for my nickname. The scale line that was on the picture indicates that the thing is 6" or a little over 150 mm from nose to wing tip and nearly 2.5" or 60 mm thick, not counting legs. A rather large bug.

Dude lemme borrow his LS. Fits my hand better than I thought it would. The whole knife is actually bigger than I thought it was.

Without using the choil. a bit too small, but not too bad either:

No problem with the choil, and is pretty comfortable in my hand:

Daddy like. I just may need one of these. ;)

I ordered something, and it departed Springfield Illinois 3 days ago in the a.m., and I should have gotten it the same day. Contacted the post office, they said to give it a few days. I tracked it a few minutes ago, and somehow, instead of coming to my home town a few minutes away, it landed in Tampa, Florida. Ah, gotta love the post office, haha.

That's down here in my world.... Keep your stuff outta my town.

Doc

I had to take time away from the board, and I come back and find you guys have ramped up your posting in my absence. Shame on the lot of you.

Yeps. Pubes removeled. Dubz was angry at me. I don't like it when Dubz is angry especially with me. This happens often and it never seems to feel any better. I was flagrantly flaunting a blade that no one will ever have. But now I'm less flaunteringly flauntisizing it. Dubz is slightly less mad. However I now feel that Blimpfarts banning finger is twitching. I'm not long for this place I tells ya. I'm heading the way of the proton..

How'm I doing Dunk? What sort of rating am I getting?

woo. fixed that itch, anyone need #400? :D

best butter your hole your orangutan pit bull says it misses you!

You know, I wouldn't even call that a choil. The handle just cuts back at the bottom of the finger groove. Looks like a good modern kephart.

You're absolutely correct. The "choil" is behind the ricasso.

I had a package ship from Arizona to Seattle, via Boston. My guess is they misplaced it on a truck and found out the hard way.

I had one once go from Michigan to Austin to San Antonio to Corpus Christi to Austin to Corpus to Austin to Corpus to Austin to Corpus to Michigan to Austin to Corpus to Austin to Cedar Park, where I get my mail delivered. The shipper had transposed 2 digits in the zip code and the package got hung up in a loop - most packages are never even touched by a human until final distribution unless it is flagged as a problem.

When I finally complained to the Cedar Park Postmaster, he explained about the labels being read by optical readers and interpreted by computers. The zip code was translating to a little town outside Corpus, hence the multiple trips there. Cedar Park is serviced out of Austin. Austin's computer would ship it to Corpus based on the zip and Corpus' computer would ship it back to Austin based on the city name. The return trip back to Michigan was based on the computer system kicking it back to the originating facility after multiple loops triggered an automatic return as "undeliverable as addressed". Apparently Michigan just threw it back into the system and south it went again.

My postmaster told me that when you see something like that on the tracking, you can ask your postmaster to put a "stop/manual handling required" into the computer system to trigger the package to be forced out of the loop for "that human touch".

I'm trippin'. It's just intense sweet sweet grass, to be exact.

Rather large!? It sounds as though it's closest living relative is an albatross..

Naww, don't be like that Mr. Dite. And I don't need butter, he's super gentle.. (urgh, now I'm going too far).

Catching up on snark waiting for my customer to show up. LOTS of travelling in Maine this week. Finally took my bow over to KTP yesterday and got a new fall away rest put on, found a release like the one I already have only ten times better. Looking forward to a little shooting this weekend if the weather clears up.

The LS has grown on me. I might need to pick one up one of these days. I have several blades that I need to get out more and several more that are much higher up on my list though.

I do really like the blue (Kryptoglow?) scales on it.
