A new EDC? Winners in post #65!!!

My guess today is pitcher Randy Johnson, who exceeded six feet tall, pitched left handed, and batted right handed.

I was thinking Randy Johnson too but I am pretty sure he played for 4 or 5 teams.

Alright my Guess is Rube Bressler! Pitched for the Philadelphia Athletics and the Cincinatti Reds before moving onto other positions and other teams. Was 6'0" and threw with his left but batted with his right. How about that?

All great guesses, but not the one yet!

Well, Randy Jones was going to be my guess, but he started playing in the 1970s. I guess I'll have to go with Dave Dravecky.

Fantastic looking wallets you have there! They look really cool, and creatively done. I'll have to make sure to keep an eye out for old leather items at markets, and garage sales to see if I can recycle them.

Unfortunately, I have already made a few wallets, and have no need for any more. They should go to those that will use them.
I'll go for the mystery knife, if I can, and thanks for the giveaway! I'm sure whoever gets them will love them.

My current wallet. As much as I like it, reading this thread makes me want to make another one with some leather that has a bit more character.

Cory I think you may have it with Dave Dravecky. He has quite an inspirational story. My father-in-law let me borrow his book several years ago. It is definitely worth reading.

And you my friend would be correct! Awesome! So glad someone was able to figure it out! Please send me your mailing info and I'll get out your prize on Monday when I send the winners items out.
Thanks for playing my trivia game!

Hey, thanks and that's a great wallet. Did you make it?

Woohoo! I'm pumped. I'll PM you my information.

Here's a picture of my old mitt from little league along with my dad's Old Timer from the 70s. I'd like to use it as an entry for mystery knife #12:

Primble's favorite glove, favorite MLB team, and favorite knife :

Since someone came along and ended the trivia, I suppose this is my final entry and I still pick pouch # 1.
My favorite knife is an old wood handled sheep foot Kutmaster, Utica, N.Y., U.S.A.
It may be old, but, that old carbon blade is scapel sharp. Now Jennifer cannot say, any longer, that Primble does not have a knife she would not like. ;)

Yeah, I suppose that knife qualifies. That's a pretty awesome glove by the way. Love the rich dark leather contrasted by the white stitching. And the Reds? My husband is from Ohio and grew up watching them. He remains a fan today. I don't hold it against him or you! ;) Thanks for sharing.

Hey, thanks and that's a great wallet. Did you make it?

Yes, I did. I started up leatherwork so I could make sleeves and sheaths for knives, and then quickly started to want to replace everything with leather, and the wallet was the first to go.
You know what would be really cool? A knife pouch made out of a baseball mitt! :D

That's cool. I have a lot to learn, but I'm having fun doing it. I suppose that's why I have all these wallets! And I agree - a knife sheath from a baseball mitt would be cool. Might have to try it.

:eek: Reds! Let me send you a Brewer hat to replace that one. :D

Thank you for that Jennifer and I just went and hid my glove. I had the feeling someone had their ball glove slicing knife out.

The Brewers are tough this year in the NL Central. A lot of tough competition in the Central too!

I have been a Reds fan for too many years - and some of them were very good years. ;):D

My fondest memories - Morgan, Griffey Sr., Foster, Concepcion, Perez, Rose, Bench, and Seaver. I grew up with them.

Boy - he sure knew what he was talking about when he recognized that talent!:D

I hope I am not messing up the random selection with these response posts - not an entry - just a keen interest in baseball. ;):D

Great idea for a GAW. Please count me in as we are a baseball family.

My son plays select ball for the U8 (second graders) and we found out he made the team for next year. We couldn't be happier. Lots of great families. My son is a lefty who loves 1st base. This is his knife we made last year for him.

Jon, great pics. Thanks for sharing. We grew up playing ball all the time. Some of my fondest memories are from times spent on the field. Congrats to your son as well.

I'm in for the coolest GAW that's come around in some time. I'd like mine to have Babe ruth's autograph on the front if possible:)
