A new EDC? Winners in post #65!!!

I had a fun little package in the mail today! I am pumped about the wallet. I am not a big wallet guy, and went 15 years or so just throwing my bank card, ID and some cash in my pocket loose. A couple years ago I broke down and bought a wallet off of the clearance rack at Burlington Coat Factory. Since then it has accumulated more garbage than I really want to carry on a daily basis. This wallet is not only awesome and unique, but it forced me to slim down to my ID, bank card, CCL, a credit card shaped bottle opener and some carrying around money. I love it. I can't express how grateful I am to have received this awesome gift.

I am also excited about the Mora. I haven't ever owned a Mora, but we're going camping this weekend so I'm definitely going to get a chance to put it to work and see how it holds up. If half of what I've read is true it'll be a huge step up from the cheapo hunting knife that's in my camping pack right now.

Thank you so much, Jennifer. It really was a fun thread and the gifts are just the icing on the cake. You motivated me to dig out my old mitt and I've been in the yard with the kids playing catch at least once every day since.

Cory,
Glad your package arrived safely. Thanks for being a part of my GAW. And I'm glad you're enjoying the gifts, but more importantly, some good times with the kiddos. Enjoy!

#1. The first one I made. The stitching on the back is not straight. I learned a lot from this one!

I found this little beauty in my mailbox this afternoon. It is the one I asked for, if I won the trivia or won the random prize. I won neither.:D

After the drawing, I had a PM from Jennifer, asking for my address. She said she was interested in stealing all my Charlows and I replied "Not a chance!!!!":D:barf:

More seriously, she wanted to send me something - I suppose she felt sorry for me because she learned I was pitiful at baseball trivia.

I asked her for a hint and she gave none - had to be a surprise. I replied that I like surprises.

Right now, my favorite old knife, my old Cat, resides inside the leather pouch. It fits really nice - so it may not be a wallet for me - rather a place for Cat to feel safe and secure. ;)

While I don't have a picture of the old Cat (above knife) in the pouch, I would not be surprised if a picture of them turns up around these parts, before long. ;)

I also received a beautifully hand written note with the pouch, which I can surely say was meaningful and most surely appreciated!!:)

I appreciate the way Jennifer carries herself and she is without a doubt, an excellent member here on the forum, and one whom I had already grown fond of, before this contest began. The fact that she is a gurl, who like us gies, loves pocket knives, well - that is just outstanding in my book - and then there is "little Jenn" and it appears that she has also been taught to appreciate the finer things in life! I just find the whole thing to be really neat!:)

I salute all the females who frequent this forum and I am personally very happy to have all the "knife ladies" around.

Thanks so much Jennifer,
Primble

Thank You Jennifer!

While I didn't win the gracious and fun GAW that Jennifer hosted, I did get a PM from her saying that she wanted me to have this as "everybody should try one".

I am going to try it out today now that I have taken a picture of it all nice and shiny new.

And Just like my friend Primble can attest to, Jennifer even cares about us losers.  :D

Seriously this was a fun GAW and it drove me crazy trying to figure out her favorite player and I think it's way cool that Jennifer loves traditional knives like us guys do.

Thank you so much for the gift and being part of this great forum.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks so much Jennifer,
Primble

Primble,

You are very welcome. I am thrilled to see a few people enjoying something I made. That puts a sincere smile on my face! You are always a gentleman here on the forum and I enjoy giving you grief about how "terrible" your knives or pictures are! ;) You and so many others here have a wealth of information that I am happy to absorb and enjoy. Thanks for making me feel so welcome, as so many people here have. I hope your wallet will serve as a reminder (not that we really need one here on this forum) of the fact that there are still a lot of people who care about each other. And thanks for all the kind comments - they are appreciated. I hope my daughter will one day find her way here and enjoy it as much as I do. If she does, you might want to hide all your yellow knives! She is obsessed! Have a great day and thanks again, Primble, for being you - you're one of the good ones!

Thank You Jennifer!

Mark,

Now it's time to enjoy that knife and have some fun with it. It will serve you well for many years to come. I'd love to see more pics when she has a patina or a new handle shape or a new stain color - or all 3! :) Thanks for all your contributions here and for welcoming one of the ladies! All of you guys are awesome!

Jennifer

Very cool GAW, Jone.

I'll have to keep watching your posts to see how your wallets evolve! That's a cool idea.
