I think if you used them, you'd find the short falls of cheap materials and safety issues that can show pretty fast.. especially when your putting trust into a premium material and it's not as advertised and causes you bodily harm.. just my 2c. As far as paying whatever it is as a collectors standpoint and intent, it's all subjective to your tastes so I completely agree with some of your above comments also.

Wow. You can buy a house or a tractor or something for $350 on aliexpress and this is what you got? And then you said "to die for"

Thanks for the laughs...

Ladies and gentlemen, my fellow knife enthusiasts, I would like to sincerely apologize for my earlier post. My intention was not to offend anyone, if I have, I am sorry. JAYDEEP, you have my apologies.Thank you in advance, Troy

Nobody owes me any apologies ever. That's not how I operate. I work in a prison mentality environment. You guys are like tea time with auntie Agnes. Please don't ever hold back with me.

I'm glad you like your new knife. I personally am amazed that you will purchase an item, but not use it. I use all my knives. Not hating, just not understanding. Again, I'm glad you enjoy your new knife.
It's not that I wouldn't use it, it's that I don't need to. With this particular knife is just a bit large for carry in slacks at the office. But on weekends I might. I just love looking at it. Nothing wrong with that.

Don’t you care about pride of ownership? If so, how can there be any pride of ownership in an absurd looking, absurdly overpriced knife by an unknown Chinese company that you purchased on a site that features mainly cheap knockoffs?

This is equal parts appalling and hilarious.
I don't think you've been paying attention at all.

I’m not dirt poor like I was raised up, so by that measure I’m richer now. I’ve got everything I need, much of what I want, and my life is pretty good without much money.

I hope yours is good with money, but I know some very unhappy rich people. Wouldn’t trade.

By the way, there is such a thing as “bad taste.” It’s real. It’s out there. (In other words, the saying “taste is subjective” is wrong in a very real sense.) Look up “intersubjective validity” if you’d like to learn more.

Mine is great and always has been because it's been rich with loved ones. Lucky to have found a love i married. 2 perfect dogs. Awesome parents and close family. Truly blessed. I'm not rich, but I do well. I guess it depends on how one defines rich though.

Doesn't mean anything. Even if my taste is bad it's my taste and my money spent on it, affecting no one else so.... frankly I think there's a real bad case of mass bad taste on this forum. Not taste in product but taste in how others are treated. But i really don't care so it's neither here nor there. Hey that rhymed. See how a bunch of words can mean literally nothing. That's what your previous post was.

That’s the kind of stuff that really makes you happy. Just reading that, I’m happy for you.

I sometimes philosophize with a close friend, and two of our favorite topics are “the problems with depending on strangers” and “there’s only so far you can motivate people with money.”

Plus the issue of “show a little money, and there forms a long line of people trying to peel a stripe of it off you.”

I think money has some properties that can really get out of hand if you don’t manage it well. That’s just me, though…

Mentioning Chinese knives, is like walking into a lions den wearing pork chop underwear.
Or

Reread from that perspective.
