A Part of My Daily Carry Survival Gear

I'm on my second recorder (lost one), I have the Sony ICD-B500. I carry it during the week and use it extensively for business reminders (some personal stuff). My office plays through the messages and puts them into M-soft Outlook things-to-do. Its been saving my life for a while.... I used to use a pen and paper, but I can't read my own writing half the time...

Coincidentally I just bought an Olympus WS-311M digital recorder. I'll be using it for recording lectures and so on for some upcoming training for work. And I'm hoping to use it to replace paper and pen for ideas, notes, etc. Paper and pen is fine, but difficult when driving.

I also expect I'll be using it to record nature sounds. So far I've gotten a good sample of my cat purring . . . . ;)

I may post the obnoxious snoring of my tent mate last summer from camping. Sounds like a cow in agony. When he did it the next night, I played his previous nights' snoring on the recorder to accompany that next nights' snoring. Had people at the campsite cracking up. :D
