A pawn shop rescue....

Nice find and rescue, Mike.

It is sad how some of them get there, but then nice that they get to go to your home and live in your collection.

I wonder if the pawn shop folks think the patina is a detracting feature, whereas many of us like a nice patina.

That's a possibility Andy. I'm not sure. I thought too that maybe they were using the offshore Schrades for price reference.
For whatever reason, they seem to price all of their knives reasonably.

Good save, I had a scrimshawed version of that knife, gave it to a friend who was an iron worker and had lost it while they were pouring the concrete decking below him, once it hit the wet cement, it was gone, there was no stopping the poor tool he could climb down and dig though the hundreds of yards of wet cement that had been pumped on top.

So I felt bad and gave mine to replace his, rotten SOB put the knife and sheath in his cabinet to keep as a safe queen and bought a $20 Chinese knock off to use instead, I love my buddy, been friends for nearly 36 years but I wish I hadn't given him that knife... :( ;)

That's very cool of you Ted. Maybe he was just really afraid he would lose the second knife

You are going to take me to this pawn shop when I come to visit, right?
:D

Absolutely...
Great find for a tenner Mike. Enjoy!:)

Thanks Steven. Good to see you

Am I the only one thinking that GEC could make a lot of us happy by making a new version of this knife?

I never thought about that before. While I really like the originals, how cool would it be for them to make one, with all the awesome choices in scale materials

I think we have a clubhouse leader for "Score of the Month." :)

What do I win ? :D

It's a beauty for sure and the price was certainly right.

Thanks Ed

And you even got it before Mack drooled on it! (I figured he'd show up here right quick. :))

Nice find!

Ya gotta be quick. Mack and I can both sniff out Schrade 1095 on the fly. I gotz the advantage though. He doesn't know where my honey hole is. Yet... :D

Can I park a 75 foot long rig nearby?

The parking sucks. I don't know where all the people go, but there are a lot of cars parked in a two block radius from the store. One of our Pac Pride stations is only about 3 blocks away though
