I know this is off topic, but what ever. I'm very depressed and have nothing to do.... My cat, which I've had for over 15 years died today. She seemed perfectly fine up until a few days ago, then she stopped eating. Took her to the vet, they did all sorts of tests and eventually an exploratory surgery to discover the problem. Her pancreas had swollen to the point where her stomach/intestines were pinched. The few days of malnutrition had caused problems with her liver. By this time she was too weak to recover... It's not easy loosing something thats been a part of your life for so long. I sure will miss that cat...RIP Machray

No comments are necessary, I'm just venting...

im sorry to hear that its easy to get attached to them and im not even what i would call a cat person. last fall our family cat died as i was pulling into the drive. it always ran along side and greeted us but unfortunately i ran over it when it veered under the truck. it was a lousy day for the family. it sucked telling the kids what happened.
remember the smiles she gave you.

:osorry to hear that
name your new busse after her in her honnor:thumbup:
then she'll be with you for ever.

Sorry to hear it. Been there myself over the years & it's never easy losing a member of the family. Time does heal the pain, but you never forget them.
Think of the good memories.

And now I have over $2000 of vet bills to foot. At least I know she got every fighting chance I could give her...

Sorry to hear this, it is hard to lose a Pet.

They become such good friends over the years.

Just remember to take care of yourself in this time.

Sketchbag , I 'm sorry to hear about your pet, they become family fast. Gene

Sorry to hear about your cat mate, they sure do become part of your life, I'm afraid my Bali (dog) is on the way out, I'm not looking forward to the day I have to take her to the vets for the final time.

Sorry for your loss, Sketchbag. I understand how you feel - been there myself with several pets.

sorry to hear bro, i myself have a fat bastid of a cat that has been with me for years. I know i'm going to choked up when he passes on, but i will take confort knowing i was the best owner he had and that he lived a good life. I'll then march right down to cat rescue and get me another runt bastid cat that someone threw away and raise him up.

take care bud.

Cat rescue like ^^ said. That's why there aint never a fur free day at my place!! Or get a custom named after her.

My condolence.

You are a good man Sketch,

I have lost 3 cats ages 15 to 17 back in the 90's. They were cats my wife and I had had since we had been in college together some of them and had shared a lot of life with.

I don't get sad about them dying anymore cause it's been so long but I still think about them and the cool things they did and I still miss them:(

But one thing. After you get your bills paid go get you another kitty. I can tell from your post you are a cat lover and there's no better tribute to your dearly departed kitty than for you to keep another of her kind safe and loved for her or his time on earth:thumbup:

last year my dog died we had had her for over 18 yrs i grew up with that dog as long as i can remember im 16 now so yeah. the dog was always there for me and never was far from me or the door she had several problems including a heart murmur and a 6000 dollar surgery for when she was cut by an aircraft cable that was strung on some tree and she was attacked by the neighbors dog :(
so i feel your pain

you have my deepest sympathies. My wife and I have 6 cats and we love each one.

Take care,
Brett
