A Shot from the Snark-ebus

they are pretty cheap so it wouldn't break the bank to get one and if you don't like it, someone will buy it off you for sure.. I wouldn't mind having an extra one for the house :)

I saw them for just over 20 bucks on the big river site. I don't know what people typically spend on saws, but that seemed very reasonable to me.

Well technically the Sven Saw folds (after you unscrew the wing-nut :D)

Also gives you a 15" blade will little worry of bending

A very good point. And you're better heeled than with a Laplander. Not a whole lot bigger either.

I think a saw is one of the most important things you can carry. I don't like to do even an overnighter without one. The little Opinel is really handy for campcraft stuff like making pot supports and the like. Not going to feed a fire with it.

I've used a few different folding saws (though not Silky or Laplander, which are usually mentioned as the best), but have really come to like the Sven instead.

It's pretty light weight and Made in the USA ta boot!

3 votes for the Sven? How much do those go for? That actually looks like a really nice option.

Plus one on the Laplander. Great, sturdy little saw that weighs basically nothing and fits in pretty much any pack.

The cheapo Coughlans saws actually work quite well too, but they're not as sturdy... especially in regards to the lock.

I think i've seen the coghlans at wallyworld before. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

Just a heads up here GaB. The four dollar saw at Dollar General is quite good. That and a Sven would set you up.

Almost bought a CS true flight thrower last night. I saw it and all I could think of was... "I think I could grind that to fit a set of tweener scales, strip the coating... and make it a long skinny clip point... HHHMMM" had it in my hand but I have some tools and other very important things to buy before I get another blade... Still could be kind of interesting. Bout to have a tornado shelter put in, considering almost all the tornadoes last year were in my back yard... I think that is a little more important than knives at this point. LOL

Pretty sure that's where I got mine... either that or Fleet Farm (the WI version of Tractor Supply Co.).

Look. I lasted three days. In my mind, that's a clear win.

One day at a time, buddy. Relapse is normal, and just part of recovery for most people.

I have one of the Coghlan minis. Have used it a few times. Nothing heavy duty, but sharp as hell. I also have a Gerber saw. Never used it thus far.

If my wife came home and found me rolling naked in the floor with stoves and cooksets, does that make me a bad person?

You're only human, Guyon. We all have our weaknesses.

Yours are darker and far more twisted than those of most people on this side of the padded walls, but hey... we're not here to judge.

Never would have thought about that. I'll check it out on my way home this evening. Thank ya
If they don't have them anymore let me know. I never use mine considering I carry a hatchet and a large chopper with me.

Think of it this way, at least she came home! That is a positive step!

There are other ways to source new episodes for new popular shows. Just saying.

My buddy told me about a good website where you can stream a bunch of shows. I doubt it's totally legal though...

So about a year ago I sold a nice Marlin 336w because I didn't shoot it much, which was dumb of me. What self-respecting gun guy doesn't have a .30-30 lever action, amiright? Anyway, today I replaced that gun with a like-new identical one. And in slightly better shape for only $50 more than I sold my old one for! They had a nice old 336rc but I wanted to mount a scope and the RC didn't have holes for a scope mount. This thing looks like it was shot even less than the one I sold. There's almost no marks on the loading gate.

I I'm going to order an XS sight/rail set for it and I have a leupold 2-7x scope that I'm going to put on. I'll probably get a 336y youth model too but that will be set up with a mini RDS and light, kinda a tacticool lever gun to ride in the truck and such.

Nice score, hoss! Truth be told...this guy doesn't have a single lever-action rifle in his available options. I'm looking into changing that, but for the time being, that spot is void. It really is a sad thing.
