Picked up a firebox with the grill plate and am pretty impressed so far. I will say that it is pretty heavy. 2.2lbs is a lot for what it offers but we shall see when the snow/ice storms stop hitting us.

Sorry... I figured but it's been a rough day... One of those days where you want to wake up and start drinking.
Only on my second pot of coffee today, so not REALLY awake yet.
Oh, and I just figured out what I want to do for work. I was watching a Julie Newmar/James Mason movie with my dad and they actual had someone who's title was "Dean of Women". How awesome would THAT job be?
Almost as awesome as being a mikvah lifeguard....but I doubt I could handle either one. No woman has ever done what I told them to.
That was me this morning. I need a .45-70, .44mag, .357, and maybe a .22mag To go with it. And maybe a .410 shotgun if I can find one.
So, I'm gonna just recommend that you guys that HAVE a facebook, add Grand Prairie Knives. (GPKnives) to your likes. They usually are doing giveaways and just finished doing a giveaway of a BK-17 with Micarta and a Ka-Barley.
Oh boy...
I have a little different perspective of it, after watching the video.
What Murph said.
It would be more accurate to say, that knife is what BudK specials wish they were.
It's not my cup of tea either... *shrug*
Ugh. Was an RBK really too much to hope for?
Hey guys! I was very interested in getting a Fallkniven F1 but I almost every post on every forum said something about chipping! This is a $120+ knife! My becker's don't have that problem. Those of you that have an F1, how does it compare to becker knives in the same size range?
Thanks!
The Kid
I was in Smallfart earlier and looked at a "Single Hiker's Cookset" that was pretty cool. Anodized aluminum and not a bad price. I'd have bought it if I wasn't married.
You're just screwin' with me, aren't you?
Feel free to send some more money my way.![]()
Be sure to wear your water wings.
I'm having a Newcastle.
Christine and I just applied for some jobs in Salt Lake City. Fingers crossed that we can get sponsored/Green Cards.
Almost bought a CS true flight thrower last night. I saw it and all I could think of was... "I think I could grind that to fit a set of tweener scales, strip the coating... and make it a long skinny clip point... HHHMMM" had it in my hand but I have some tools and other very important things to buy before I get another blade... Still could be kind of interesting. Bout to have a tornado shelter put in, considering almost all the tornadoes last year were in my back yard... I think that is a little more important than knives at this point. LOL
you're a genius! (and Kay's projects look good, too)I'm having a Newcastle.
I'm eating "Milk chocolate with egg liqueur filling" It tastes like any normal chocolate, but with hard yellow stiff in it.![]()
For Christmas, we found chocolate truffles filled with Baileys and with Kahlua. They were soft inside though.
I think you're probably still young....just not that youngCorrect, and traditionally they all have the finger ring for retention while using an open hand for blocking or grappling.
When I was younger I worked in private security doing some pretty cool things. I trained for a few years with a gentleman who helped develop combat and take-down for special operations teams. From the stories he used to tell me... the guys he used to train with now train all forms of special operations teams around the world.
Ahh to be young again![]()
Like, people who live close by? (hint, hint)i am reminded that i will need to buy some Lodge ware soon - probably the dutch oven, so i can do stews and paella in the grill
or potentially on the wood stove. mmm.
and i REALLY need to get a turkey deep dryer, and then have a couple people over for a fry party, people bring a thawed bird to cook, we cook one to eat, every has fried bird for a week later... oh yeah.
Capitol idea! POIDH....I'm having a Newcastle.
