Return shipping/insurance will be fine. Consider it a courtesy since we've had so much fun here together, and I'm in a remarkably good mood. ;)

Very well said, Doc. I'd happily buy the beverage of your and Mr. T's choice and join you should we ever get to meet.

Pick me up when you head up there, I owe Mr T a case or 2.. I'm just down 35 a ways... ;)

I have noticed that whenever I meet up with fellow Beckerheads, there is seldom any shortage of refreshments, or friendly - albeit often spirited, and occasionally even adamant - conversation. :) I am absolutely convinced that sincere discussion/debate among reasonable human beans leads to increased knowledge and deeper friendships. Also, it's a hoot.

Just got the call and this little guy will be coming home with me tomorrow. :D :D :D :)

Congrats! If you show that pic to my wife, all deals are off. She really wants a new puppy and I'm afraid if she saw that lil' rascal, it would cost me a bunch of money :D

JT, you make metal proud.

Thank you very much. I do what I can. Most of the credit goes to Miss Angie... I just do the heavy lifting. \M/

Hey Guyon can you post a pic of the Stanley cookset you got up?

Will do.

Guyon was saving the rest of the thread for cook set pics?

Wasn't me.

Kinda bummed today, got one of those calls that you hate to get last night about 9:30. Turns out a old friend of mine that Ive known since i was 2yrs. old died. He sadly was a extreme alcoholic. His esophegus ruptured and basically choaked to death on his own blood. He was 40.

Truly sorry, Todd.

We need to have a gathering! Any word when the eastern/central Beckerhead gathering will be? Where will it be?

Mentioned it to Ethan the other night. He's got to look at dates.

Looks like ET didn't quite make it home.

Nice to know I'm not the only one that gonna be shoveling puppy shit now. :barf:

Good lookin pup WW

Bhahahaha I remember what that is like. We no longer have a dog because It didn't get along well with the boy when he was born. No matter how much training we tried.... Maybe I was the failure here.

The dog ended up staring down the barrel of my shotgun after it pooped on my white carpet in our first house in defiance. My wife reminded me that if I pulled the trigger I would have a greater mess to clean up. She then returned it to the breeder. We owned her for 5 years. It was never mine...it came with the wife and hated me.

I remember after the first winter the state of our backyard. I told the wife that it was her dog and she had to go clean it up. Then I got that look.... and ended up shoveling up and weighing the 11lb bag o crap when i was done.

Don't get me wrong... I love dogs. When they are trained properly and live the majority of the time out doors. I dog sat my buddies boxer when he was moving for a week. Best pipe smoking company around!

Thanks bud :) ill let you know when its headed that way, really appreciate the generous offer bro!!

And yea the little puppy is already costing me quite a bit. Between the cost of the puppy and the pet deposit for the house im renting im already at about 1000 bucks, and thats before the cage, collar, and some food to get started........But, i can teach the puppy to like me more than momma, and no matter what i spend that doesn't work with the kids LMAO

LOL, yea that, and cleaning "accidents" off carpet.... are the 2 things im NOT looking forward to, but it comes with the territory.

And thanks man, this little guy would barely be enough kibble for Sophie now, that girl is growing FAST. I wish i was allowed larger breeds here... but then id prolly have SEVERAL boxers running around and a few huskies too LOL so its prolly a good thing im limited on size.....

Well, you have no worries of Sophie eating him. Lol. She is getting big fast, but she doesn't have a aggressive bone in her body, which I love about her personally, when my wife and I where first married. We had a german shepard/Chow Chow mix. He was beautiful. Had all the best looking traits of both breed. Was solid black, smart and loyal. Couldn't ask for a better dog, but he did not like strange people or other dogs. He was just plain vicious when he got in his mind he didn't like you. When my daughter was born, he was 14 and did not like her at all, we couldn't take the chance. I was terribly hard, we had him since he was a pup. but I took him and had him put down. I cried like a baby, but if he had ever gotten a hold of my daughter he would of killed her. I thought it was the better of the two. So, when we decided to get another dog, I wanted a large breed, atheletic, with no aggressive tendencies. We where torn between the goldens and the labs, the wife decided she liked the longer hair so the golden it was. Its hard to believe how smart she is and sweet. Gonna be a good companion for a long time I think.

Hey fellas check out The 710 Menace with kirinite red and black handles. Let me know what yall think.
It looks like this one blade I saw out of Canada.
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. I hope you all are lucky as I am, to have someone close that loves you.

Miss Angie picked out a nicely-butterflied ribeye for our Valentine's Day dinner. The heart shape is very sweet.

It also happens to look sort of like a skull, and red meat in the shape of a demonic skull is METAL AS F**K, so rock on, baby!! :D

Nice! Love a good ribeye!

Yea you cant go wrong with either a golden or the lab, both are very smart and loving dogs.

Its a sad thing when you have to put a dog down, but at least he was older and at that point getting a dog, especially a mix like that, use to another family is not an easy task.... even if you COULD find someone wanting an old dog. When it comes to your kids you can never take any chance, i dont blame ya, i would of done the same and i would of cried the same too. We use to have a chow when i was a kid, it jumped through a window, breaking the glass and cutting itself all up just to kill another dog that was making a mess out of our trash can. We loved that dog and it loved us, but it ONLY loved us, any strangers or other animals it HATED. Id never take a chance like that with a small kid.

I knew a prick many many years ago that had a pitbull that he fought all the time in those dogfights. Well the idiot left the dog out with his 8-10 month old daughter and it bit through her face. She had to get stitches/staples from above her eye to under her chin... and then they wanna blame the dog.....

Note to self. Too much egg in whisky sour makes it smell terrible. Stick with bourbon and ginger if it must be a mixed drink.

Extra Tasty.

Happily, the baked potatos and salad were so delicious and filling that there is enough steak left over for steak'n'eggs for breakfast tomorrow morning.

Sorry to break it to ya, but you can't "teach" a critter to "like" anyone... unless everyone else is mean to it and it prefers the other person by default, or they spoil the heck out of it. Within the first few weeks it will pick a "favorite" human all on its own, and that's just the way it is.

My female cat will not listen to anyone but me, no matter how much they tempt her with treats or affection. She'll growl and snarl at pretty much anyone or anything that comes near her (ask Gus and Christine about the mysterious growling chair, LOL), but she calms down instantly when I lay a finger gently on her head or pet her along her side. By the same token, our littlest dog trusts me with her life in stormy weather (she will leap onto my lap and basically demand that I protect her), but otherwise she won't come when I call if her life depended on it... but she'll happily run to my wife at the drop of a hat if Ang just says her name softly, anytime, anywhere. They're just weird that way.

Of course, in many cases a well-cared-for rascal will be friends with everybody in the house to one degree or another, and that's good fun for all :)

Cute puppy pics you say. Here's Sophie the other day when I scolded her for chewing up my daughters homework. That's no joke, I guess that stuff really happens. it just breaks her heart for people to be upset with her. Lol. Its hard to be too mad at her.

Getting back somewhat to the knife topic, before I got that terrible phone call last night that told me of my friends passing, me and Murph had a killer night in the shop, worked and progressed on 10 customers orders that I've been itchin to get out, but what I was most excited about was I was able to start on my brassback bowie project that I'm doing for the Blade show. This thing is going to be baddazz. Almost 19 in. AOL.
