I'm no Morgan Freeman (not enough freckles), but I was once advised by the top district sales manager at the biggest media outlet in Central Wisconsin, that I should hire myself out as a "voice actor" and/or announcer, due to the soothing dulcet tones of my natural baritone speaking voice and my ability to, y'know, read out loud. Sadly, I turned to knifemaking instead... it has been all downhill from there. Steel is a cruel mistress, indeed.

One wonders what might have been... :(

Does that mean I have to come up with two answers? The chances of them making any sense together are rapidly getting beyond my ability to predict. Hold on... this is gonna be a bumpy ride. :eek:

Found it, damn. I don't care for it, but some people make it work for them, maybe out of spite. Whatever works, I focus my bewilderment for particular knives elsewhere. I've tried the Tracker, didn't care for it. They do jump all over any opposition though. Speaking of, I noticed Biscuit plugged the M-18 over there, atta boy!

Happy Saturday! Anyone have plans for the weekend? It rained for about 5 hours then turned to snow last night so I'm going to practice my "extreme weather" fire starting skills. :)

here too, but the starting points are a cord of firewood in a pile in the snow and a woodstove.

I'll be cross-crountry skiing into a yurt; we'll spend 2 nights there with a small group of boy scouts. I'm taking the BK9, BK13, Mud Mutt, Sebenza, and the small Nessmuk custom that I made for testing. I think that I'm over thinking fire wood splitting...

Sounds like fun! You've made me rethink BSA, I might join........
 
I'll be practicing my parenting skills. As well as my organizational and superfund cleanup mojo, as I've decided that the basement needs an enema. Hoping to spend a little time with my new (homemade) etcher; there are some projects I've been holding off on because of the aforementioned activities. I also return to work on Monday (I think) after a 3+ month absence; the work truck is buried in snow and has a dead battery. That'll be some fun times there as well :(. So, I'll be practicing my adult survival skills, nearly all of which are terribly rusty. But first, coffee. And then....more coffee.

It is lots of fun if you're in the right troop. The yurt/food/etc. is all paid for by an anual fund raiser--completely free to the scouts.
