Photos A Walk in Nature

Here are some Kingfisher photos I’ve taken in the past.

They are hunting the river, one is turning the catch so the bones don’t stick in the throat.

THE Blade Forums, has it's very own dedicated wildlife photographer, in JohnnyTheFox.
Very nice stuff Johnny. If nobody ever told you so, .......they should.
I'll see your kingfisher and raise you a squirrel and a female cardinal. I mean this in jest.
Thank you to blade forums for a letting us , do this.
Oh and on a side note.........the images posted on this website look far better than any photo forums, Facebook, or Instagram.. I do not know what you guys are doing, but it blows every photo forum off the map.
The image rendering, here, on this site..............IS, beyond shadow of doubt, " Spectacular.

Thank you

those are outstanding.

I was walking in a fantastic place today, with my hand damaged I am only carrying my phone most of the time.

Here are some photos I took in the hedge of my old flat.

Nikon DSLR with macro lens.

We used to see these all the time as kids not so much if at all nowadays.

This amazing place is in the town centre.
Its home to lots of wildlife and rare and endangered species.
I love the wicker work the volunteers did.

It is near the hospital I was at today which is near where I used to live.
I had forgotten all about it.
What I do is park my car, jump on a bus to the end of the walk then walk back to my car (as I cant manage walking both ways).

I took my Vic walker and sodbuster and made a walking pole.
Which I have hidden at the end of the trail so I can use again,Ive done this beefore years ago on this path but cant remember where I put them.🤭

Its a bit of a magical place.

This is a great thread that I don't spend enough time visiting.
CelloDan CelloDan has continually amazed me with his pictures of Chickadees feeding from his hand to the point of jealously! I've been religiously feeding these little guys, amongst other feathered friends, for 20+ years in my backyard. This morning the dream was realized. As I was filling my feeders a Chickadee landed on the indicated feeder, to find it almost empty. He poked around, unable to dislodge a seed. I put a few black oil sunflower seeds in my gloved hand and slowly extended it towards him. He looked back and forth between my hand and the empty feeder, and decided to take a chance. He landed on my glove, picked up a seed and flew to a nearby bush. I wish I'd had the time to get a picture, but that wasn't gonna happen. Trust me, this is true! Sorry no picture of the event, only of the stage....
Oh, my Lloyd stag shadow trapper was in my pocket at the time!
To say I'm elated is an understatement. My wife thought I was nuts when I came into the house!

As I am catching up with my BF posts this evening I wish I had read your post first Gary as it totally made my day  !
If you are ever driving on the 401 highway in eastern Ontario area let me know. I'd love to take you to the bird sanctuary and share the joy of feeding our friends.
Syracuse is not that far from us

Gracias hermano 😊
That was the last day the ice trails were able to open .
My Verijero squeezed in the nick of time 😎

I’ll driving by the bird sanctuary in a little bit on my way home, unfortunately is raining. Señor Verijero really wants to meet the chickadees 😎

Sitting out back with my cat and a green knife for St. Paddy’s. The deer feel very comfortable.

So cool to enjoy it all from your own backyard 👍😎

I can bet Señor Verijero wants to meet the little seed eaters. Chickadees BBQ perfectly, though it takes a gross to make a meal. 🥳

On another note Dan - I thought you were skating and sledding on the Rideau but you have told me that's not the case. Where is this trail network and who is responsible for keeping these maintained? What a gift!!
