great pictures. quick Question about the English knife, I have noticed the ricasso on it sticks out a little more than I have seen on similar American knives, is it so that part hits the back spring and not the blade? I assume not stop pins. Just curious as I admire this knife in the gorgeous picture.
Thank you

The knife is a standard Ebony A. Wright & Sons Lambsfoot.
The kick on my lambsfoot knives does give the impression to stick out more and has that very particular shape to them as compared to other American knives in my collection.
Interestingly my German made "Otter" has a kick very similar to my lambsfoot knives.
The kick does prevent the blade from hitting the spring and there is no stop pins.
Incidentally your comment reminded me of a picture shared by Randy Bell in another group in response to a question I had.
I believe, if I am not mistaken, he was involved in designing Waynorth Cutlery Lambsfoot made by GEC.
The American made lambsfoot was based on the English Lambsfoot shown in the middle of the picture .
He mentioned that it came very close to an almost perfect replica. When I asked him what was different he pointed to the kick and the two rattails.
He mentioned that GEC's owner had decided not to implement them.

For all things Lambsfoot make sure to check the "Guardians of the Lambsfoot " thread

Cool pics Josh
