AAAAA+++++ for Liu Kang!

Hey CHRIS1972, thanks for the third beautiful transaction, you must love my knives, prices and customer service. Better becareful, I think you are becoming addicted. I hope you enjoy your new knife!
Dan
I think the gbu is for feedback on bladeforums. These are obviously knives that have been sold privately. That is the reason we have feedback boxes attached to our profiles. You list the thread and the parties buying and selling. Just my
opinion.

The GB&U feedback is not restricted only to business conducted here. There are many threads (good and bad) relating to business that didn't take place on Bladeforums. To leave iTrader feedback..the deal has to have been conducted here because, as you pointed out, you need to have a link to the sale/trade thread.

My only experience with Dan was his lowballing tactics.

I also have experienced this. I had a pumpkin handled custom shop Busse ASH-1 for sale on the Exchange. It was new and unused, received directly from Busse for about $630. I had it listed below cost for under $600. Dan sent me a PM or e-mail (I don't recall which) and tried to lowball me with an offer in the mid-$400s. It was laughable, pathetic, and unreasonable. I was not desperate for $ and did not sell to him, but I did interpret his ridiculous offer as an attempt to take advantage of someone who he thought either did not know better or who was in dire straits. :thumbdn:

I also have experienced his lowballing tactics, he offered me less than the original price for a new knife/sheath combo,
while at the same time he was listing numerous knives for sale with markups in the hundreds of $$.
I do not recommend doing business with this "member" of the BF community who is clearly in it to take advantage
of the unsuspecting.

It is interesting that the OP hasn't responded to this since opening the thread.
The general assumptions for that are more than likely correct. As for a 2nd, 3rd, or 44th sale is weaksauce all the way. If it turns out that he ends up being blacklisted, the brightside is there will always be a place for greasy used car salesmen. :D

Can any mod confirm that Liu Kang and Chris (OP) are not the same person?

I was thinking the same thing. This thread is so strange. :barf:

I have dealt with Liu Kang, I was less than impressed to say the least.

I've never had the "pleasure" of dealing with Liu Kang because his prices are INSANE.
Seems to have some questionable business practices as well...lying about shipping and insurance costs...that's pathetic.
Not to mention his competitive body-building photos. (Hilarious)

huh? body building pictures....your kidding right?

Dan

You say that you sold him 3 separate knives within 9 days?

What did he buy, and why won't the OP comment? He's been back on BF, but has not made any follow-up posts since the first. For the sake of putting this to rest, I'd like to see the OP comment about actually buying 3 knives from you in this short period.

Did he offer a refund ?, or did you ask to send the knife back to him?

Good to see you had a good transaction.
I would have to agree with you that his communication was good, but he sent me a knife that he had multiples of, it had a damaged handle from someone buffing the blade.
When I contacted Dan with this information he was very quick to respond with "have you contacted Scrapyard Knives? They will sought any problems out for you under thier warranty".
He sold a damaged knife as new then tried to push the problem back onto the manufacturer.
Also I recall the postage charge was $15 and the actual postage on the envelope was $5-6.
You would think that he could have checked the condition of the knife before he sent it,considering that he is a knife dealer and I paid using the personal tab (at Dan's request)on Paypal.
I decided to notch this one up to experience and never buy from him again.
Just my experience, thought I would share it with the rest of the community.

His reply was "did you contact Scrapyard Knives? If you send it to them they will fix any problems under their warranty".
Cleary this problem was caused by someone who very inexperienced at buffing blades and the grip on the knife was damaged during that process, not at the manufacturing stage,it would not have passed the final quality control inspection.
No mention of a refund. He should have sent me a new knife as advertised not a damaged one.

A new perfect transaction. Always a pleasure! Thanks!

Pour les francophones:

Toujours un plaisir de faire affaire avec Liu: couteau envoyé le jour même, très bon suivi.

Damn! I have problems with the functions of the forum, 4 windows opened to find the original thread of sale, sorry. I shall concentrate in the future! :)

I wanted to post this in feedback of the profile

No, I assure it you. I am new on the forum, I lived in Switzerland (Swiss), Europe. I came on this forum because I discovered knives Busse, and It is very difficult to find in Europe.
If certain persons made bad experiences with Liu, for my part I am very satisfied.

There is no problem concerning the check of my identity by a moderator.

I think that it is enough to consult feedback of Liu to notice that it is a serious and estimated salesman.

And if I buy knives in a regular but moved closer way, it is that I do not want to lose 3 at the same time by post (if problem).

I hope that you understood my FrenchEnglish :)

Regards

Chris

I read all the comments and I think that there is confusion.

Well, I am going to try to make me understand. I bought a first knife from Liu, I was difficult and he was very patient. I wanted to thank him and I saw that there was a part of the forum where we could leave a message about experience with a salesmen.
After, Liu then contacted me to say to me that there was in the profile a place where to post feedback. I did not know it.

I come here to consult, not to post. I am not very skillful in English and especially not in American slang. I did not consult this unique comment of my part.

I hope that everything is clear for you.

If it raises a problem, a modo can lock or delete this tread

Regards.

Chris
