Accidentally scratching knives

Lol, wedding rings can cause all sorts of damage, they should come with a warning label. Enjoy your knife. :)

They do, called Wedding Vows

Trouble is, most guys don't get a chance to read most of them -
the priest just starts reading them,
the guy listening starts getting lightheaded listening,
then ya say I Do

Later in life you learn, ring can cause all sorts of interesting new revelations like electrocution, hand getting stuck in many things construction, babies, loss of sports car, women interested in a challenge ;-) and life goes on ...

Then when things really go South , you lose half your stuff . Beware of the Wedding Rings my young friends . Choose wisely. ;)

My wife and I wore our wedding rings once....on our wedding. We both hate rings. I hate the feeling of them and also had a bad experience playing basketball wearing one.

Degloving?

Might as well just go ahead and cut your finger off to show you're married. Ring avulsions make me cringe just thinking about it, of course I have a photographic memory so I can literally see it whenever it's mentioned. Rings are for hobbits anyway

Just googled it... barf

I love a scarred knife. I have a dlc coated xm18 that i had put a lanyard on with an olamic owl bead......and it killed the pocket clip.
It was beating the finish to much so i took it off. Thats the only time that scuffing a finish ever bothered me. Probably because it was that particular xm18's maiden voyage.
But all and all i enjoy a knife with character

Yes, rings can be very dangerous!
Just google degloved finger and click on images! Probably too graphic to post here!
I will never wear a ring at work!
Many modern presses must complete a circuit before applying substantial pressure. Fingers are bad conductors (unless you're wearing a ring) Of course said machines usually have a warning label.

Scratches–even chipping–don't bother me if they occur through use, even if I'm using a nicer knife. But if I scratch a knife while performing maintenance on it or through clumsiness the scratch will cause me anguish. My small Sebenza 21 with Micarta inlays and an Insingo blade bears an example of each. I used it to open a packet of shock treatment for my pool and in doing so the blade developed two small spots that cannot be removed; this I can handle. After sharpening an old Kershaw on my then-new Wicked Edge to familiarize myself with it I sharpened the Sebenza which received scratches from the clamp–I obviously use masking tape now as a result. These scratches bother me because they remind me of how careless I had been. At the least the knife's sharp.

That is exactly what I meant to say about sheath-induced scratches. Scratches are not all the same.

Scratches from doing something really useful or memorable I might even want to preserve...
